"I needed my electric panel replaced quickly in order to obtain homeowners insurance. I spoke with Annette who set up a day for me to meet with Patrick to get an estimate. He showed up on time, examined the panel and explained what needed to be done. He scheduled a day which was convenient for me, gave me an honest estimate, obtained all permits in a timely manner and the job was completed satisfactorily. I have referred others to Allsite Electric and will be using their services again. Great company to do business with."

"As usual Jim came through like a pro. Great communication, an easy going no pressure solution and very reasonable labor charges. I asked tons of questions and he gladly gave me all kinds of advice. For what it’s worth, this is the second time I have used this company and I could not be happier."

Satellite TV Service questions, answered by experts

As with any service provider, it’s customary to tip professional TV mounters after they complete your TV mounting service. Consider tipping 20% of the service cost, or $10 to $20 per professional. Tipping is always appreciated, especially for a labor-intensive mounting job or one that requires multiple people and hours.

It’s worth hiring a TV-mounting professional to hang your TV to ensure the safety of your device and long-lasting results. If you’re investing in a large or smart TV, it’s worth preserving your investment to guarantee that it’s hung safely and correctly. Plus, a TV mounting professional can recommend the right wall mount based on the wall type and TV size and weight.

The shorter the coaxial cable, the better. The further you run the cable, the more signal loss you'll experience. At 50 feet, you'll see significant signal loss, and by 100 feet, you'll experience at least a 30% drop in signal strength.

Do not install a TV above an active fireplace or wood-burning stove because of excess heat and temperature fluctuations. Another place that can be tricky for electronics is the bathroom, where moisture can be a factor. If you choose to mount a TV in these areas, you should find a weather-resistant appliance.

You will be placing holes in the wall to hang the mounting bracket. If you’re mounting a large TV, the bolts in use could make significant holes around half an inch in diameter. Other than a few holes, though, the process of mounting the TV should not cause significant damage to the wall, unless you make an error and miss the wall stud, tearing out drywall. Should you decide to remove the mount later, the DIY drywall repair cost for a small hole usually is $10 to $30. It’s a repair you can do in a few minutes.
