"I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to for this one. The team at Armor Service Group Cooling & Heating went above and beyond from start to finish. Communication was solid, showed up on time, and the work was clean and professional. You can tell they actually care about doing things right, not just getting in and out. Highly recommend if you want it done once and done right."

"Working with Hugh on repairs/installation of Central HVAC. He immediately contacted me, and I explained my 87 year old mother was without air having had several Freon recharges in the past few months. He made time that day to go and diagnose mom s problems. He was unable to get a part that day because stores had closed. He cleaned and sanitized inside unit, recharged system with Freon so my mom and dad would not have to suffer through the weekend without air. He did this service for no charge and said he will check with parts store first thing next business day and we will continue from there. This guy was an Angel as I am in Texas trying to help my parents in Pensacola,FL during a pandemic. 😇"

"We were extremely happy with the services provided by Fresh Air Duct Services.  Taylor arrived promptly, with a great smile and worked diligently and efficiently.  He was very professional and courteous.  He explained all the steps as he was completing the work and was very professional. At the completion of the job, he vacuumed to be sure nothing was left behind.  He did such a great job, we hired him to perform the same services at our daughters house on the same day.  Again, he performed flawlessly. We would hire him again, and recommend Fresh Air Duct Services to ANYONE.

"Very polite.  Cleaned out my dyer vent went checked on the outside vent.  Taught me a lot about safety, dryer fires and, even though, I cleaned my lint trap there was SO much more lint I couldn't reach.  My clothes are drying faster so I don't have to use as much electricity.  I LOVE this company would recommend them, and use them again>"

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The number of return air vents a house should have depends on its overall square footage. You'll need one supply vent and one return vent for every 100 to 150 square feet of living space. This means that, ideally, there should be at least one return air vent in every room. However, if the room is 100 square feet or larger, it's better to have two or three. A 2,000-square-foot home should have between 13 and 20 return air vents, in total.

According to HomeAdvisor, cleaning AC coils costs most people $100 to $400. Cleaning costs less when you wrap it into your annual service visit or have your coils cleaned at the same time as your ducts. Duct cleaning, a service that includes cleaning the evaporator coil located in your indoor unit, costs $250 to $500.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends using an EPA-registered disinfectant product to disinfect a house properly. If such a product isn't handy, a strong bleach solution can disinfect high-touch surfaces. Before hiring a professional, be sure to discuss the type of chemicals and disinfectants they plan to use to ensure they’re safe for household use.

You should not spray pesticides of any kind into your air vents. The spray won’t reach far into the vent, minimizing its effectiveness in killing roaches, but more importantly, it’s dangerous for people and pets to inhale these chemicals. Roach spray is not a natural roach repellent, and it’s not safe to spray into air vents.

You should plan to change your AC unit's filter every one to three months, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also clean the coils at least once per year, but if you have pets or someone in your household has allergies, you might need to clean them more often. Fortunately, many pros will clean the coils and change the filter for you during an inspection, which you should schedule once or twice per year.
