"Ricardo de Lima and his team arrived right on schedule. They were most professional, worked steadily to complete my project which required them to saw up my old unused hot tub and remove it in pieces due to limited space on my property for actual removal. They completed the work in reasonable amount of time, cleaned up the area after hot tub removal. They also removes other assorted junk that I requested to be removed. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again if I have a need."

"Ricky and his team removed my old lawn and installed new sod and curbing. We had not planned to include curbing around the flower beds, but Ricky thoroughly reviewed the benefits with us, What a difference the curbing makes! He provided several options, pricing, and positives and negatives for both the sod and the curbing. On the day of the install, Ricky checked and adjusted our existing irrigation system to assure that the new sod would be properly watered. The following day, he called to make sure that the irrigation system was running properly. I absolutely love his patience, sound explanations, great communication, and follow-up. He is a caring professional, providing high quality workmanship and economical pricing."

"Gulf side Tropical was great. I would recommend them for your tree removal. Jr and his crew were on time and very professional and efficient. Gulf side Tropical removed two large trees that were very close to my house. Jr told me how Gulfside Tropical would remove trees without any damage to house and roof. Again, I would use Gulfside Tropical again without hesitation. Thanks for my good experience!"

"Both contractors (Devin and Austin) were on time and the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Upfront communication was excellent. Devin provided a written estimate prior to establishing our appointment time and stuck to that estimate when the job was completed. I would highly recommend."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.
