"We found The Groutsmith on Angie's list and called them to set up an appointment for an estimate and description of services.  They arrived on time for the estimate and even did a test cleaning.  And then showed up how much better our floors would look with an updated grout color.  We agreed and they returned in less than a week.  On time!  And they made our floors and counter tops look new.  The re-touched grout made the rooms seem brighter.
We're happy to recommend them and we'll have them back to clean our showers!

"Jermaine Brown did an amazing job painting the exterior of our house. His attention to detail was so appreciated and the end result turned out fantastic. Jermaine is a great communicator, he kept us updated every day, he stayed on schedule and on budget. We highly recommend Jermaine and we will not hesitate to use him again for other projects that we have planned."

He showed up on time and did a wonderful job!  We were moving out of a 2nd floor apartment and wanted the carpets to be in great shape.  We were delighted with the professionalism and super clean carpet!

"The house came with some furniture and the couch were nice, in good condition but they needed to be cleaned, it's my couches and my dining room chairs. He was very good, explained everything to me, showed me the equipment because I had questions and I have pets, I have cats and I'm concerned about the chemicals they are going to be using. He explained to me that it wasn't harmful to animals because he had pets, he also explained each step to me because he had to do the shampoo thing and he actually demonstrated the machines to me so that I could see the difference when he ran the machine on the part that was and he did such a thorough job, it smelled so good. It was super nice, clean, and it didn't take long as I thought to dry because the equipment that he used is state-of-the-art. I thought it was going to take like half a day for all the furniture but it dried within 3 to 4 hours and this are 2 full-sized couches, he cleaned 8 pillows for each couch and 6 dining room chairs. It was dried within 4 hours including the pillows. I would call them again because they were great. I had an Angie's List discount and the carpet people gave me discount. I thought I was going to spread out something on the floor where the water is going to be dripping, it was great because he'd done some mats on those furniture and there's hardly any water. He cleaned, he sanitizes, his equipment has like 2 different use, one is for sanitizing, it's not just chemicals, it's like a steam and then he cleans it and he does the rinse and it just sucks up the germs and sucks up the stains and everything without a bunch of water and it wasn't messy at all. He was so efficient and the upholstery is excellent. People came in and they said there's something different about my couch, they said that you could see the gold in it, before you couldn't see the gold and all you could see is brown. He actually restored it to it's original and the couch was at least 8 years old. It's cherry wood furniture with upholstered couch and when he cleaned the pillows, the foam didn't flatten out or anything."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Professionals use HEPA vacuums, industrial-strength cleaners, and microfiber cloths for effective cleaning without damaging surfaces.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

The best way to clean vinyl floors is to vacuum or sweep away debris and then mop the floors using a mixture of warm water and dish soap or vinegar. You can also use store-bought cleaners if they’re marked safe for vinyl surfaces.

Yes, you can polish an existing concrete floor—as long as the slab is structurally sound and in good shape. In fact, that’s what makes this type of flooring upgrade so appealing. Polishing works best on bare concrete with minimal surface damage, although you can usually repair cracks and stains before the grinding and buffing begins. Instead of ripping out your existing concrete floor, polishing it can turn it into a high-shine showpiece that’s both practical and sleek.

A floor polisher won’t remove scratches from a wood floor, but the polish can fill in surface scratches and make them all but invisible. If you run your fingernail gently over the scratch and it doesn’t catch, chances are that the polish will hide it. If it does catch, you might want to have your floors fully refinished, and you might need to have a professional floor sander in for particularly deep scratches. When in doubt, call a professional floor polisher to determine if polish will fill in your scratches or if you need more in-depth services.
