"Had a great experience with this company! Estimate and scope of work was clear, the price was fair, and Bryce and Jose went above and beyond to reroute my dryer vent inside of an interior wall and away from the waterproofing area! Definitely would recommend"

"Thomas was courteous and professional and he gave me excellent advice about possible water damage due to a toilet leak. He was able to contact Entrusted, a company that works with Ace Solves It All, to get a same-day estimate for remediation and repairs. "They knew what they were doing for sure , had many cracks and broken concrete that had dropped and had a big area that was a void, by the time they were done the pieces were together and they filled in all the cracks and sealed them. The only thing now is it looks like puzzle pieces. So now I need to resurface or texture .it was awesome to see"

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Basements with persistent moisture problems or flooding shouldn’t be finished until the moisture issues have been fixed. In addition, if your foundation is cracked, you have unmitigated radon levels, or you have asbestos or lead pipes, remediate the underlying problem before finishing your basement. Turning a basement into living space before fixing these issues can lead to serious health risks or structural damage.

Yes, the air from a damp basement can travel up into your living area through a process called the stack effect, so moisture, mold spores, and other debris in your basement air can all decrease your indoor air quality on your main floors. Additionally, damp basements can promote the rotting of building materials, which can damage flooring, insulation, and framing on your first floor in addition to materials in the basement.

The difficulty of adding a basement to an existing house can vary depending on the house’s location, the size of the basement, and the type and condition of the existing foundation. Adding a basement is a job best handled by the pros, so you’ll need to enlist professional help for this project.

If you don’t wish to dig it out and convert it into a finished basement, you can still encapsulate your crawl space to protect it from damage for an average cost of $5,500. Finishing a crawl space beyond this isn’t really worthwhile, as the low ceilings mean you won’t be able to use the area as living space.

Whether your homeowners insurance covers slab leak repairs depends on your specific policy and the cause of the leak. Many policies cover slab leaks resulting from a covered peril, such as a natural disaster, a falling tree, or pipes freezing and bursting within the slab. However, damage caused by invading tree roots, corrosion, or leaks from appliances may not be covered by a standard policy. It's a good idea to also check your home warranty plan for potential coverage if an appliance is the source. Contact your insurance provider for a full explanation of what your policy covers.
