"JB does amazing work. He is honestly and reliable. I not only used him once but TWICE. When I first bought my home I just wanted a small cheap Walmart pool. I called JB he was at my home first thing and my pool was completed by lunch on the date that was provided. Well that pool was an exactly that cheap the pump went out after just a few months (nothing to do with JB). I then had a much bigger project to take down and reassemble a 24 ft round dough boy pool. Now this project took a few days breaking the pool down moving to new location level out the dirt ect. J B and his crew were amazing and my new beautiful pool was all ready to go in just a few days. "I highly recommend this company and Christopher Lawless as your sales rep. I have 3 different companies come out and give me quotes, tell me how long it would take and the quality/warranty of their equipment. 3D solar was best in every way. Chris gave me the cost and power producing expectations. I wasn't given a pushy sales talk but a realistic one. I even asked about upgrading to more panels and instead of jumping on it, earning more money, he told me I didn't need and he didn't recommend it. I went with his recommendations and have been more than pleased! Installation was extremely quick and the workers were extremely polite. They kept me up to date on their status and cleaned up afterwards. Chris even stopped by to see how it was coming and let me know he was a partner in this purchase. He let me know that the panels were actually higher level from what I believed I was going to be getting. They were able to find the perfect placement of all the equipment. I love my online details of the power my panels are producing. 3D solar is also monitoring the system and would know if something isn't performing correctly, which I have no needed at all. I haven't had a full winter yet of collecting power to cover summer charges, but I am already saving money! My house is 2000 sq ft with a pool. Normal summer charges were between $300-359 a month. I enjoyed my $75 bill during the summer. Next summer they should be even less. My May bill was only $9!!! I highly recommend going solar! 3D solar is one of the best companies around and they are LOCAL to Tampa! Your sales people live here. The workers live here. Preventive care is always better than reactive care. Aside from distributors and pump manufacturers, we don't have return clientele because our switch works perfectly. 5 minute installation and a product made in USA that is less than $200. I've built 4 houses and three pools and this is by far the best construction experience I have ever had.  Why?  First, dealing with RD Gray is a pleasure.  He was all about understanding what we wanted in a pool--how we planned to use it and how we wanted it to integrate with our house and landscape.  He listened carefully to the description of what we desired and then came back to us promptly with a first-cut design, which was about 90% on the mark.  Closing the 10% gap was a collaboration, which he welcomed--no ego issues.  As we watched the pool take shape during construction, we wanted to make a few minor changes.  These were accommodated without any fuss or change orders. 

Second, we got tremendous value for our money--a very high quality execution of a custom design for a fair price.  RD uses the best Pentair equipment end-to-end and all finishes are top quality.  Now that the pool is complete and in operation we appreciate RD's practice of using oversized equipment, again end-to-end, which means it will be under less stress and last longer.  The equipment plant is beautifully laid out and engineered; looks like a surgeon did it.  Then there are the things you don't see but that really matter.  For example, Island Pools uses 8-12" of compression concrete throughout versus the more usual 6".  This was especially important to us because our pool ranges from 4 to nearly 8 feet in depth, thus more pressure.  I'll just sum it up by saying that every aspect of the construction was first-rate--materials and craftsmanship.

Third, the commercial arrangement was as well done as the rest.  There was no front loading of billings.  In fact, we were always ahead of the work in progress, so we felt comfortable that if anything major had gone wrong we'd be safe.  But nothing ever did go wrong.  Everything went right.

Finally, the disruption to our property and lives was minimal.  His crew were mindful of our landscaping and sprinkler system and did all that they could to minimize damage. 

We can't recommend Island Pools, owner RD Gray and his crew too highly.
