"This was a big project. We have 3 - 10'x 8' sliding patio doors, the doors are extremely heavy. All required new sliding hardware, and one set of doors was frozen in place. We had a set of tracks that was severely twisted and bent. Tal assessed the project and brought in his crew to help with the removal of the panels. The process took a full day. In the end each door had been rebuilt, and all work beautifully. Thanks, Tal for a job well done."

"After looking for a year trying to find a quality licensed contractor who could take on enclosing my screen porch into a 4 season sun room I came across Creative Remodeling. Other offers were way to high or the person was inexperienced. Brian and his team were professional and accommodating. Sorry I didn't find them sooner for other projects like windows, doors, kitchen and bathroom remodeling."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

In Melbourne, creating a seasonal inspection routine for your screens and screen enclosures is key to preventing major repairs. In spring, look for corrosion from salt air and check for any winter storm damage. Before summer, inspect for insect holes and prepare pool cage screens for hurricane season. In fall, clear debris and check for humidity-related warping. Winter is ideal for spotting condensation issues and ensuring frames remain secure.

Helpful?

In Melbourne, small issues like minor tears in your pool cage screen or loose splines can quickly worsen due to humidity and coastal winds. Watch for rust spots on frames, sagging screens, or water collecting in enclosure tracks. These signs often indicate underlying problems such as frame separation or hardware corrosion, which can compromise the entire screen enclosure if not addressed promptly.

Helpful?

After screen repair in Melbourne, gently test the repaired area for secure fit and ensure the screen enclosure is taut. Check that all hardware is tightened and that the screen provides a full barrier against insects and debris. Inspect drainage in tracks, especially after the first rain. Schedule regular cleaning to remove salt and pollen, and keep a record of repairs for future pool cage maintenance or insurance claims.

Helpful?

In Melbourne, homes with features like large pool enclosures, multi-story lanais, or Florida rooms often require specialized screen repair approaches. Stucco exteriors, tile roofs, or concrete block construction can limit access and require unique tools. If your property includes hurricane-rated windows or integrated pool cages, repairs may need advanced mounting techniques. Tight spaces, elevated patios, or custom screen enclosure designs can also add complexity to the project.

Helpful?

In Melbourne, simple screen repairs—like patching a window or replacing a single screen panel—typically take one to two hours. Larger projects, such as repairing multiple screens or a section of a pool cage, may require a full day. Full pool cage re-screening or lanai enclosure repairs often take three to seven days, especially if weather delays or high demand during hurricane season affect scheduling and material availability.
