"My old shower was removed, a new drain was installed, and new water lines for the shower. The installers used templates to make sure the acrylic was cut exactly to size. Nick T., Jarrel and Kevin took care to cover the floors, and vacuum all the debris. My husband and I were consulted along the way for placement of shelves, safety bars, and any other changes we wanted to make. They were courteous, mindful of our home and the end result was tremendous!"

Grab Bar Installation questions, answered by experts

There are ample home security options available today outside of just window bars. Depending on your location, home’s layout, and needs, one or more types of home security systems may be necessary. You could consider doorbell cameras, motion-sensor flood lights, or window and door sensors. And in some cases, you may qualify for homeowners insurance discounts when you install one or more.

To install window security bars, you have to mount the bars securely to opposite sides of the window frame. A home has structural framing directly behind window frames, so the screws you use to mount burglar bars need to be long enough to reach that framing. With bars installed between these secure anchors, you'll have a barrier that deters intruders.

Professionals use secure clips, weatherproof materials, and proper electrical connections to ensure safety and durability.

To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.

Yes, it is possible to have both a storm and security door. In fact, this is the best way to go for enhanced protection against intruders and the elements. The storm door will provide weather resistance and added energy efficiency, while the security door will offer maximum protection against break-ins.
