We repair patio sliding doors and windows .

"Went very well. Larry showed up at 8:30AM as scheduled . Doors were very old, both screws and rollers on doors were odd size. Larry left and returned within an hour with the correct parts. He and his co-worker cleaned the slider rails and replaced the rollers. Doors now slide good as new."

The lifespan of your door depends on the door type, its wear and tear, and the weather conditions in your area. For instance, front doors last between 20 and 60 years, depending on the material. Garage doors, on the other hand, last between 15 and 30 years. Interior doors don’t get hit with the elements and can last between 20 and 50 years, if not more. 

You should generally cut between 1/8-inch and 1 inch when planing a door. If you cut off more than that, you risk damaging the door. Most of the time, the direction your door swings does matter. Your door’s swing is also called its handing, and it determines how your door opens. The layout of your home probably only gives your door enough room to hang and swing in one direction. On the other hand, it might not matter if your door can open freely in either direction without inconveniencing you and your household.

The cost of folding patio doors is higher than the typical patio door cost because of their size, complex mechanisms, and additional hardware needed to operate them.
