"We had a leak in our pool of unknown origin. They did an outstanding job, very professional and good communication. This was not an easy task, they had to wear wetsuits and investigate several possible scenarios, use dye and ultimately an air blower machine to finally get to the root cause, one of the intake or outtake pipes was busted near the pool. This required removing bricks manually digging around the affected area, fixing the pipe, and meticulously replacing the bricks. They let us know the cost and that the consult fee would go toward the total cost. All done on the same day since they did not have a later afternoon appointment. No more leaks!"

Small jobs welcome

"Jefferson & his crew where very prompt, professional, & hard working. They showed up on time & did a beautiful job replacing the tile/gravel front walkway that was replaced with bricks. They widened the path & did a beautiful job. We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend them. They cleaned up at the end & even put some sand under some of our pool deck pavers that were loose & uneven. Highly recommend this company. A very high quality job at a very fair price."

"Core Mechanicals' tech Jason came in and inspected our A/C system. We had problems with it freezing up. They checked the pressures and added refrigerant to fix that. They did an inspection of the entire system and found our air handler to be extremely dirty. He removed the handler and brought it outside where he thoroughly cleaned it (it took a couple of hours to do. It had a lot of dirt and hair. It was really gross to see that was where the air that my family and I were breathing in came from!) The system is almost 5 years old and he removed the dirt and hair that had accumulated in it over that period of time. I highly recommend getting that done by them! The air quality in my house is so much better now. My family's allergies have been so much better, especially with the dog in the home. My system works and cools much more efficiently and they showed me how properly install the filters, that is very important for capturing dirt and dust. So worth the cost! Cleaner air and my electric bill was even a little less! Jason was very informative and explained the workings of my system to me, I never really gave it much thought before. I am having them back out to install UV light/ air purification system. I highly recommend them! Very prompt, knowledgeable service, very professional! Jason said he works from Key West all the way to Key Largo, and works on all brands. I believe they are a Lennox dealer and they also do pool heaters. They are my A/C guys from now on!

"We hired Amazing Pools of the Florida Keys to build our pool. Roger and Lisette were great to work with. They built us a beautiful swimming pool. I was undecided about the color of the pool finish and the waterline tiles. Roger prepared a custom mix of blues for our pool. The color is perfect. Lisette also made suggestions regarding the tiles. My pool has the prettiest colors I have ever seen. Roger is meticulous about every detail. They were very pleasant to work with and always available for questions. The entire process went very smoothly from start to finish and the price was fair. I highly recommend this company. A+++++ rating"

Property lines, building locations, and potential encroachments are mapped.

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.
