"Edward Ryan worked with us every step of the way... he helped us get the designs and permits and did a large amount of the work himself. He has a great work ethic and kept everything moving forward. The subcontractors he did use were very professional. They did such a great job that you would have a hard time figuring out where the addition was put on if you didn't know where to look. I fully intend to use him again for home renovations we have planned."

"I cannot say enough nice things about J & J. They did an outstanding job throughout the process. I interviewed five other painters before choosing them and they were definitely the right choice. The choice was not merely based on price as they were neither the lowest nor highest estimate (though the price was reasonable). It was based upon their professionalism. They are punctual, follow great business practices, overcome obstacles without complaint (in this case difficult wallpaper removal), courteous, offer excellent advice, and are, overall, a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of work to be done."

"My husband & I wanted our existing kitchen cabinets painted and we decided to replace our existing cabinet doors. Claudia and her team guided us from beginning to end, left no detail unnoticed. I highly recommend Dexxter Refinishing & painting, not to mention the price is right!"

"

Emails went back and forth before an appointment date could be established between the roofer and my tenants.  There was at least a 2-day delay waiting for Atrium Paints to get back to us each time.   When they responded, they set up a date to come in 2 weeks (their earliest availability) but showed up after only one week and did a very satisfactory job.

It was just frustrating communicating with them.  Their work was fine, and they were courteous when they got back to us, just not as promptly as I expected.

I would use them again.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Both paint and wallpaper can work in a bathroom, provided you choose high-quality products in either category. Washable vinyl wallpapers can stand up to bathroom humidity without peeling, as can semi-gloss or gloss paint finishes. However, if you’re someone who likes to redecorate often, paint may make it easier to change colors or designs more quickly. If you want full humidity protection and cleanability, tile or stone works better.

When choosing materials for finishing basement walls, consider factors such as moisture resistance, durability, and fire resistance. Opt for materials specifically designed for basement environments, like moisture-resistant drywall or cement board. Insulation with vapor barriers can help regulate temperature and prevent condensation. Consider using mold-resistant paints or coatings.

Research and consult with experts to select materials that are suitable for your specific basement conditions and intended use. Prioritize quality and compatibility to achieve long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing results.

You should be aware of the current wallpaper and interior trends before hanging it, especially if you are planning on selling or listing your home soon. Do people in your market tend to prefer bold designs and accent walls, or does having a simpler print all over seem like a better idea? Lastly, you want something that appeals to your aesthetic preferences; hanging wallpaper is an investment of your time and money after all.

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

Spring and fall are the best seasons to apply wallpaper because excessively hot or cold temperatures can cause issues with the paste used to attach the paper to the wall. A professional wallpaper hanger can help you decide if your home is too hot, cold, humid, or dry for the wallpaper to stick properly.
