"Hired for a job in Historic St Augustine. Was very upfront on the location of the house. Scheduled for 8:30 am. At 8:55 am the day of the job, the plumber called and was like "Oh, you're way down in St Augustine." Umm, yeah. He didn't show up until 9:45 am. Needed him to fix an outside water spigot and he did the job. Then needed to address poor water pressure in a bathroom sink. Assumed it was a clogged aerator. He could not remove the aerator but he did check the water pressure and it was good. The next day I watched a youtube video and removed the aerator myself. There was another fine mesh one behind it. Could not remove that so I ended up replacing the faucet myself. Now it works fine. Would I recommend? Eh, probably not. If St Augustine is too far to drive to make an 8:30 appointment, tell me up-front. And no, did not get any discount for making me wait. In fact he was there a little over an hour and I got charged for 1.25 hours."

Customers say: Super punctual

"so they responded as did others when I posted an add on FB. Grey was going to come out today(4/16) but my neighbor who's a builder came over and we fixed the leak on 4/15 so I began messaging Grey so their plumber wouldnt waste his time. I responded to a email and told them it was fixed, then later in the day I had a text from them so I responded and explained again. Last night I had another text from them saying they were coming out tomorrow.. I wrote them and said, "I've written to you several times today explaining what happened" Im not going to respond again but dont want to see your plumber waste his time as I wont be here, the leak is fixed.. late last night I heard the leak again but not from where we fixed it This morning I sent Grey two messages telling them if they still had me scheduled Id accept their help and be here. They've never responded. I sort of understand but at the same time I explained everything in detail and they should have had the decency(as I did) to let m"

"Zef and his crew did an amazing job for us! We have a very large home with many bathrooms. They performed a complete re-pipe of the whole house & got the job done in less than two days. All of the plumbers were very nice and polite, no nonsense just worked. During the whole process the water was shut off for less than one hour ."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is safe to turn off the main water valve. As long as you don’t force the shut-off valve and break it, you can’t damage the water supply pipes by shutting off the water. We wouldn’t recommend shutting it off regularly without a good reason. However, when you need to know what to do in a plumbing emergency, shutting off the water main is a safe way to reduce water damage inside your home.

If your well water smells like rotten eggs, it’s likely because of sulfur bacteria, which aren’t harmful. Though it’s often safe to drink, it can be incredibly unpleasant and may be hinting at a deeper issue with your well. Call in a well professional to test your water and inspect your well just to be safe.

The powder coating that creates a matte black faucet is pretty durable and will resist scrapes and scratches, but because it’s a coating, there is a chance that it will get scratched over time. Covering up scratches with matte black touch-up paint may be possible, but you may also risk it not blending in with the original finish.

Low water pressure is the most common problem with showerheads. Whether it’s due to scale and calcium buildup, clogs, age, or damage, poor showerhead spray costs you time and a relaxing experience. If your showerhead is in good condition except for buildup or clogged holes, try cleaning it with a scale or calcium remover. If the showerhead is old, rusty, cracked, or damaged, it’s time to replace it.

There are several reasons a shower could lose pressure, including clogs in your showerhead, leaks, corrosion in your pipes, or faulty components like a shower valve or shower diverter. Issues with your water heater or water pressure regulator can also cause a drop in pressure, so it’s important to hire a licensed pro to diagnose the problem.
