"They were able to provide beautiful new cabinets and granite countertops to update my 1978 kitchen at a price so close to bids I received to reface the old cabinets and install laminate countertops."

"Extremely satisfied and happy from day 1 , Rafael and Johnathon were very professional, they were here several times during and at the end of installation to check the progress . We had 3 quartz countertops and new backsplash installed , it was done on time as promised ! We liked their shop and selection of slabs. Their quote was the best out of 3. I would definitely recommend this company . Doug"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use paint if you want to refresh your tile countertops. However, you must be mindful of the type of paint you use. Look for options explicitly created for tile that are also waterproof and durable. Over time, the paint will chip, so this is not considered a long-term solution for busy kitchens.

Yes, it is possible to cover old countertops with new ones. Using a countertop overlay to cover your existing countertop is a good way to get a totally new surface without removing your old countertops. This method can be more cost-effective and less time-consuming than a total replacement.

You can likely use spray paint or a paint sprayer for your laminate countertops. You should prep the space the same way as if you were painting with a roller or brush, making sure to cover any areas that you want to protect with a drop cloth or plastic sheets.

Kitchen counters are 36 inches high because that’s considered the ideal height for the average American adult, which is 5’9” for men and 5’4” for women. A three-foot counter height lets most people comfortably chop, cook, and clean without straining their backs, necks, and shoulders.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.
