"They were able to provide beautiful new cabinets and granite countertops to update my 1978 kitchen at a price so close to bids I received to reface the old cabinets and install laminate countertops."

"Extremely satisfied and happy from day 1 , Rafael and Johnathon were very professional, they were here several times during and at the end of installation to check the progress . We had 3 quartz countertops and new backsplash installed , it was done on time as promised ! We liked their shop and selection of slabs. Their quote was the best out of 3. I would definitely recommend this company . Doug"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

There are many benefits of granite countertops, but it’s not unusual for them to have seams—especially if you’re working with small slabs joined together. Seams are common on larger islands where the installer needs to use more than one granite slab to cover the surface. Luckily, because seams are normal in granite countertops, pros know how to hide them properly, so you’d never know they were there.

No, you don't have to apply polyurethane to butcher block countertops. Polyurethane sealant is a long-lasting finish for a butcher block counter, but its application also requires thoroughly sanding the surface multiple times. Other materials, such as mineral oil, require less work but must be applied more frequently.

Yes, you can remove a countertop without breaking it. It is possible to save your countertop to use in your new kitchen, donate it, or sell it! You’ll just need to work carefully as you follow the removal steps above. If you’re not sure you can get the job done without causing a little damage, call in a pro for peace of mind.

Butcher block countertops are easy to clean. You can use basic household cleaning materials like soap and water. You can even use vinegar or lemon juice and salt. There aren’t many special precautions like other materials. For example, soap tends to streak stainless steel while acid-based cleaners can wear down quartz.

Marble countertops cost $3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.

Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:

  • Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining

  • Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches

  • Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair

  • Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors
