I found Brian to be very efficient and methodical in the approach demonstrated throughout the install.
He was very polite, professional, respectful and clean, in terms of not making a mess and ensuring that any debris from install was properly disposed of and work area left spotless. His workmanship is nothing short of brilliant.

"I was quite surprised when the owner of the company answered the phone when I called. Ernie was very professional and sent his guy over within an hour or two. Although Ernie did not perform the actual work, his employee was very professional and knowledgeable. Ernie (the owner) even came by to check on the job! My Dad was a custom home builder and was always heavily involved in his jobs and in contact with the owners so I appreciate that type of pride of ownership. All in all a very positive experience. It probably was not the cheapest route I could have gone but I got good quality equipment installed "the right way". Again, from my history with the way my Dad ran his business I much prefer to pay a fair price for quality. That is what I got with Professor Plumb. Hopefully I won't need a plumber again anytime soon but, if I do, I will definitely call Professor Plumb. "
"I received a quote window for the work to be done, which was competitive with other companies. The reviews for SweepMyRoof were strong, and it was important to support a local business. Jeff arrived at the scheduled time, introduced himself, and detailed the work to be done. It was a hot, hot day, and Jeff worked incredibly hard at cleaning the gutters, trimming overhanging branches, and bagging all debris. When the day was done he offered a price that I felt was below the quality, and I happily paid a bit more for what was nothing short of A+ professional work. Communications with SweepMyRoof was fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. Jeff also does gutter repairs and installation, house/roof washing, and more."
"Christian showed up promptly to review our installation and to confirm they had a filtration system that would work for us. He was able to offer discounted pricing and next day installation! Super friendly, super professional and super helpful!"
"The workman was on time, polite, and got straight to work after listening to my instructions. I definitely got my money's worth! He cut down a lot of overgrowth in my yard. He offered to take it all away for me, but I would have had to pay more, and I declined. He then put it all in a pile for me in my back yard, and I will have my son haul it to the front on the appropriate date for the garbage man, I am glad I purchased this deal!"
"I was pretty nervous about having this work done. But since I couldn't afford a new tub (installation costs yikes!) I opted for the resurfacing. I got lots of estimates and although Ike's quote was not the lowest, the process he described sounded much more thorough than what others described. He would sand it, bond the chip, prime it and spray 2-3 coats. He was punctual and very friendly both when he gave me quote and when he performed the work. He and his crew (really his family...so nice) put down drop cloths everywhere they walked and covered everything in the vicinity of the tub. They even had a fan and long hose to vent the fumes out of the house. When finished, he caulked the tub (we had replaced the tile and hadn't caulked yet) around the walls and reinstalled the drain. Very clean. The only thing was he used some sort of caulk that started falling apart after a couple weeks. Maybe it old or maybe just a cheap caulk. Not sure. No big deal though I just pulled it out and redid it with my own fancy caulk. Next time, I'll hand him my choice of caulk and I know he'll do the job. He gave us instructions on how to take care of the new surface (cleaning, etc) and we've followed it to a "T". It's been 6 months and the tub still looks great and the chip fix is still perfect. I would definitely use Porcelite again. "
"Counter tops are so beautiful, that every time I go into the kitchen, looking at them makes me smile! There was a limited selection for the price, but the end result is beautiful. We had a bit of a delay due to the kitchen sink that I ordered, but Mario and his crew installed the counter tops in one day, once the sink arrived."
Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts
No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.
However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.
When a dishwasher discharges its wastewater, it uses a pump to quickly move a lot of water. If anything in the drain line or the garbage disposal impedes the high volume of water, it will back up into the sink through the drain or the garbage disposal. Following regular dishwasher maintenance tips like clearing clogs, keeping them cleared, and occasionally running the disposal will eliminate the problem.
On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.
Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.
Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.
