"3As Fencing and more reached out to us within minutes of inquiring on Angi. Angelica and Hector came out to measure and give an estimate, showed us photos of 3As Fencing 's work and explained the process. After speaking with another company we decided on 3As Fencing. "Excellent work. Many residents in our neighborhood have used Gifford Fence with great results, so this job was the HOA hiring them to replace the community's old wooden fence with a white vinyl fence. The work was done on time and looks wonderful. Jerry Gifford has fencing down to a science from obtaining the proper permits, to the scheduling, to the installation."

"Casey listened carefully to my hopes for a fence that was level across the top. In one part of my yard the ground is not level, and he took the time to come to a solution that made me very happy. I highly recommend this company."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

It’s usually cheaper to buy pre-made fence panels than to build your own. This surprises many people since DIY tasks so often save money. However, large stores don’t have to pay the same amount per board of wood that homeowners do, allowing them to sell pre-made panels at a more cost-effective rate. Pre-made panels also save a great deal of time, energy, and guesswork. The drawback is that they are harder to customize to the shape and slope of your yard.

The regulations for pool fence heights vary by state, so be sure to research what the legal, minimum height is in your area before purchasing or installing a fence. Though every region is different, generally a pool fence must be at least 4 and ½ feet high. If you’re unsure whether you need a fence around your pool, and how high that fence should be, contact a local pool enclosure expert to help you successfully, and safely, move forward.

Yes, you can use a floor jack to remove fence posts. Attach a stem to the base of the fence post so you can position the floor jack underneath. The stem can be a scrap piece of wood attached with nails or a sturdy nail itself. Put the jack beneath the stem and push the lever to lift up on the fence post and remove it from the ground.

Yes, like other types of wood fencing, pressure-treated fence boards can warp. However, there are a few things you can do to reduce the likelihood of your fence warping. Sealing or staining your fence every few years, for example, can protect the wood against moisture, sun exposure, and temperature changes.

A fence gate can sag for several reasons. The issue often stems from the hardware, such as damaged or bent hinges, or loose screws that can no longer support the gate's weight. The gate frame itself might also have come out of square due to failing supports. Alternatively, the problem may not be the gate but the supporting fence post, which could be leaning or out of place. In many cases, fixing a sagging gate is as simple as tightening the hinge screws or upgrading to more robust hinges.
