"Mario is a true professional, he showed up when he said he would, he accurately quoted the job, he oversaw the work performed, he came back to fix small issues I found on a Saturday. He was wonderful to work with. The house came out amazing, we are so happy with the job done. And the price was very affordable, not the cheapest but definitely the best value. I would recommend them to anyone needing to paint their house."

"Alex was great. He was prompt with coming over and giving me an estimate. And his estimate was very competitive. He and his helper finished the work in two days - power washed, primed and painted the exterior of our house. Left the worksite clean too! Wonderful job - fast yet much attention to detail. Wonderful job - would hire again."

"Would give 10 stars if I could. John came to look at the job the day I posted and was there to paint the next morning. He did a meticulous job. Painted and hung shelves. Cleaned everything when he was done. And a great price!! I will be calling him again!"

"Excellent work; my house needed a lot of work (had accordion shutters replaced by impact windows) and you cannot tell. They did both the stucco work needed and the painting. It looks wonderful! They worked consecutively and efficiently; very reliable. I highly recommend them and would use them again."

Painting questions, answered by experts

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. If you're going for a transparent, barely there look, a single coat or two may suffice. For fuller coverage, you'll want to use multiple coats. Another option is to use a less diluted paint to get a thicker coverage.

A dry lawn is easier to edge than a wet one. When your ground is wet, your blades will likely clump together, making a seemingly even cut while wet, but an uneven disaster when dried. Also, a wet lawn can impact your blade's performance and cause mud to kick up, resulting in a messy finish.

Whitewashing isn’t permanent, but it can last for a long, long time. When you apply it correctly or have a seasoned pro whitewash your brick, whitewashing can last for 20 to 30 years or longer. Whitewash is very durable and typically requires little maintenance, making it a great project for most DIYers.

A cedar fence will actually last quite a long time even if you don’t treat it with stain. In fact, you can expect to get between 15 and 30 years out of an untreated cedar fence. However, if you want to preserve its color and extend its life, treat it with a combination stain and sealer every three to five years.
