"I am writing to share my positive experience with Scott from Build Lab Studio LLC, who recently completed a couple of projects for me. Scott provided a detailed quote, was punctual, and maintained a high level of professionalism from beginning to end. The work involved removing a vent and filling it in to match the outside stucco, as well as reinstalling a two-piece marble door sill. I am very happy with both the price and the quality of the completed job. I will definitely call on Scott for future projects and highly recommend his services."

Small jobs welcome

"Shane and Zack are amazing!! They built our fence and created a beautiful fence door. Super friendly guys who worked very hard to get the job done. We plan on having them back to put in our new front door, and to also install a bathtub glass door in our bathroom. These guys are incredibly reliable, on time and we will definitely be having them back to do miscellaneous projects. Highly recommended."

"If there were six stars to choose from, that would be the rating I would give for the service provided. They were efficient, on time, and had a very professional and friendly personality, doing an amazing job repairing my ceiling. I will be using them for future handyman projects!"

"Excellent experience with this company. Completed: re-fabricated old tongue and groove ceiling tile to repair damaged tiles; re- plumbed late 50s house; added blow-in insulation to attic; painted ceiling tiles; painted interior of home; sanded, re-stained and applied polyurethane to exterior wood door; installed new electrical outlet and closet LED fixture; installed ceiling fan and applied epoxy to damaged bathroom tile. Finished a long To Do list for me. Excellent communication regarding project expectations, time of arrival as well as progress. Willingly answers questions and explains what needs to be done. What was best for me is Semir’s ability to do many repairs in a sensible sequence without subcontractors. He also pays attention to details. His employees are great. I will always hire him for future work. Highly recommend."

Closets questions, answered by experts

On average, building a custom or built-in closet costs around $2,100. However, the total price can range from as little as $500 for a simple DIY project to $6,000 or more for a large, high-end custom closet. Most projects typically fall between $1,500 and $5,000.

The final cost depends on several factors, including the closet's size, type, materials, and features. Here is a general cost breakdown by closet type:

  • Reach-in closet: $500 to $1,500

  • Walk-in closet: $750 to $5,000

  • Wardrobe: $2,000 to $6,000 or more

Choosing a prefabricated closet system is generally less expensive than a fully custom build. The scope of design and construction services will also significantly impact the price.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.

Built-in furniture maximizes space, offers a tailored look, and enhances room functionality.

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.
