"Job consisted of replacing porch brick tile and removing and replacing porch 4 x 4s and railings. Porch is 33 ft by 6 ft. 4x4s were anchored to the porch by Simpson strong ties. Railings were 6 ft and 8 ft in length and Required shortening to fit space. Communication between Handyman by Henderson and owner was excellent. The workmanship was excellent. Jim and Rinda Callan, owners, recommends Handyman by Henderson."

"The project was to remove a buried cement fish pond that had been buried decades ago by previous owners. The area of the lawn where the buried pond was would not grow grass well and did not drain after rain because whoever buried it did not break up the concrete or put holes in it so the water would drain. We thought it was a shallow pond a foot or two deep. They were going to dig it out by hand, but discovered it was over 4 feet deep at the shallow end and 7 feet deep at the deep end. What originally was going to be a quick simple project turned into a 3 week project and required excavator equipment to remove the old cement which was reinforced with rebar. Cameron kept us informed and got the job done even with all the challenges. We are happy with the result and would recommend MorgranCraft and would hire again for other projects."

"I chose Jose for his outstanding reviews, he gave me the best quote. I emailed him at 8:30 AM to tell him I was ready, he called me back 10 minutes later, said he'd be by about 11:AM to chose the color, which he did. He scheduled for the next day, a few hours later he called said he could get to it that day. He and 2 associates arrived and in a few hours were completed. The color match was so perfect to my recently painted house that they were unnoticeable. Great job Jose, Thank You."

"I hired Ivan and his team to install Fiber-Cement siding on one side of my house after receiving quotes from three contractors. They had to repair and replace some rotted wood siding in several places. I was very happy with their work. They arrived when they said they would (they actually called me and started a day early), and worked every day until the job was done. They were very helpful in explaining some options for installation of trim, and did everything exactly as I requested. I thought the price they quoted was very fair, and I ended up paying exactly what they quoted me."

Siding questions, answered by experts

The necessary frequency of mold cleaning in your home will depend on several factors, including the climate, the presence of moisture sources, and the type of siding. It's generally recommended to inspect your siding regularly and clean any mold growth as soon as it appears to prevent it from spreading or causing damage. If you’re not sure how often you should clean mold off siding, you can always contact a siding contractor near you to consult on what maintenance schedule will work best for your home.

Increasing home value and return on investment (ROI) are two different things and it’s important to differentiate between the two. While a kitchen remodel will surely raise the value of the house, it may only have an ROI of around 50%. Homeowners looking to raise the value of their home for sale will have to consider how much they will recoup by the monetary investment in projects, as the ROI percentages may be lower or higher than the added value on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

Not always. The answer depends on your specific vinyl siding product. While some manufacturers advise against pressure washing, others recommend pressure washing as long as pressure is kept below a certain threshold.

You should install your cedar shake siding with the rough side exposed. The smooth side is less resistant to weathering over the years, and the rough side gives your home a more rugged aesthetic. The rough side also takes to paint better and ensures any paint job will last longer before needing to be redone.

Siding underlayment varies based on the type of material, but most siding is installed on top of a vapor barrier, a moisture-resistant house wrap, sheathing made from plywood or oriented strand board (OSB), and a layer of insulation sheeting. Having the correct underlayment is a critical part of properly installing siding and will protect your home from water intrusion, structural damage, and energy loss.
