"Upon arrival, the repairman looked at the various tasks to be done, which included hanging a ceiling fan, repairing a towel rack in the small bathroom, leaking water line from the main bathroom bidet, and a possible short in the dining room light fixture. After looking at each task, the repairman began with hanging the ceiling lamp, then he repaired the towel rack. He moved to the main bathroom to repair the water leak from the bidet. He explained what was wrong and then left to go to Home Depot to looking for replacement parts. According to him, he went to two different Home depots and another location, he did not share the name of the store, and told me that the stores did not have the pieces and that he would be ordering the part online and that it would arrive on Thursday. I agreed. I followed up later in the week with a phone to see if the piece had come in and was told that it should be arriving this afternoon and I will try to come by on Thursday afternoon. Thursday came and went and no phone call or message from the repairman. I then had a business trip and was away a week. Upon my return I reached out to Ace Handyman and have left messages but I have not had any messages returned. He also took the piece with him so now I will probably need to replace the whole bidet. Extremely disappointed with the service and misleading recommendations ."

"I had furniture that needed to be put together, a 6 foot bookcase as well as a floor lamp. The contractor came after making an appointment for a very fair price. Did the job completely and I would give him a rating of excellent. I highly recommend this company as they are professional on time and very skilled."

"Came out within 2 hours of contacting them and unclogged my kitchen drain at a reasonable price. I had another contractor come out that wanted to charge me more than double. Definitely will use them again."

"We wanted to sell our house and decided to make some updates before putting it on the market. We hired TB of South Miami, and they were amazing to work with. They answered our calls and texts, we got updates letting us know when techs were coming and going, and the finished product was great. Would definitely recommend."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Figuring out how to clear a green pool can seem tricky at first, but it’s all about knowing which pool cleaning chemicals to use. You may think of using baking soda to help you with your algae problem, but unfortunately, it won’t help. This is because baking soda only raises your pH and alkalinity levels.

Instead, you need to use pool shock to clear up a green pool—the shock raises the free chlorine levels and will kill the algae.

You can place many materials under a pool to level it, including sand, concrete, solid foam, pavers, or finely crushed gravel. You can also use a tamper or roller to level ground without using a shovel to dig. No matter the material, make sure to level the ground with sand first for a smooth, even surface for the pool to sit on.

Yes. A pool pH too high may result in a rash, red, or stinging eyes for swimmers. It means chlorine isn't as abundant as it needs to be to neutralize germs. A pH that is too low means the water is too acidic, which can cause similar bodily irritation and damage to your pool's lining and the surrounding plaster, stone, or tile.

The steps to fill a swimming pool will depend on your local building codes. However, it starts with draining the pool of all water using a submersible pump. Then your pro will lift the pool shell from the ground or break it into pieces for individual removal. The next step is filling the cavity with dirt and gravel and topping it with topsoil. Once a structural engineer deems the site safe, landscaping can start.

When looking into fiberglass vs. concrete pools, you will notice a big price difference. A fiberglass pool costs $15,000 to $75,000, whereas a concrete pool costs $35,000 to $100,000. While concrete pools are customizable, fiberglass is faster to install and requires less maintenance. Additionally, you can expect to pay $25,000 to maintain a concrete pool over a ten-year span. On the other hand, a fiberglass pool only requires basic maintenance like testing water levels and cleaning.
