"LG & OD CORP was very professional and accommodating. They assembled 5 pieces of furniture on short notice. (3 beds and 2 dressers) They did an excellent job w the assembly. They arrived on time and they were also efficient. Without having to be ansked, they took off their shoes when walking on the carpet. Extremely curious and mindfind. Will definitely hire again! Small jobs welcome

"I had contacted Turbomax to get my closet fixed. However, I got a call right away from a man named Oscar Ventura from Angie’s list. He came over, looked at the job, gave me some ideas, and gave me an acceptable quote. He stated he would be back the next day to do the job. He kept his word and came back the next day ready to do what he promised he would do. He not only did the job well, he made sure my closet shelves will be secured until the end of days. He went above and beyond what was asked of him. I have been praying about getting my closet fixed one day. Well, my prayers were answered when God sent me this hardworking, God loving man to get my job done. I sat in my closet, which is now my prayer closet, to say, thank you God for a prayer answered. Mr. Oscar Ventura, from OAVM Construction Group INC. thank you so much. You have made me the happiest woman. I am in my prayer closet praying now for my bathroom to be done. When I am ready, OAVM Construction will get the job."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, it's possible to make an aboveground zero-edge pool. Note that it's most common to build an inground one, but, if you raise the deck and surrounding poolscape, you can install an aboveground version. Keep in mind, if you need to haul in dirt, it can significantly raise your land prep costs.

The generator in your saltwater pool conversion kit transforms sodium chloride—the same salt as table salt—into chlorine. A process called electrolysis sends electricity through the water to interact with the chlorine ion. This ultimately creates the chlorine that keeps your pool safe and clean. The cell in your saltwater chlorine generator is the part that converts the salt into chlorine.

Whether or not a pool needs a dedicated circuit depends on the electrical needs of the motor, lights, and pump. Keep in mind that pool motors can use a lot of electricity. A dedicated circuit can prevent the breaker from tripping whenever you use the pool. A small motor for an equally small pool may only need a GFCI outlet. It’s best to plug it directly into the outlet rather than using an extension cord. You should also consult an electrician to ensure your pool’s electrical system is in accordance with local regulations.

An aboveground pool should be level within 1 inch—and it starts to become unsafe after a couple of inches. Any slope will lead to an uneven distribution of water, which will put pressure on your pool’s structure, wearing down the pool liner. In certain cases, it could cause your pool to collapse. Even if you’re within a safe window, you may still notice that the water level is uneven.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.
