"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"The sales guy arrived and examined the attic.  He said that some of the tape sealing the metal return duct was pealing off.  Some previous owner had set off bug bombs in the attic and residual poison was supposedly still there.  He then hooked up a giant fan to a door to pull air through the duct system.  This was supposed to show that the ducts were not sealed and attic air was being pulled into the house.
The sales guy then started the sale talk.  Because I signed up for the Angie's List deal the price would be $5000.  If I did not sign up then and there the price would be around $8000.  I thought long and hard and because it was Angie's List I decided to get the work done.
However, the longer I thought about it, the sales guy really aggravated me.  The more I thought about his pressure sale, the more aggravated I got.  But it was too late to cancel, so they did the work.  I wish I would have thanked him for the estimate and gotten other estimates.  So thanks to Florida Energy anytime I get a pushy sales guy I just walk away.  If they have to pressure you with a take it or leave it option then I just walk away.  I guess they were afraid that I would find out it wasn't such a good deal.
The sales guy did claim that I would see a reduction in my electric bill after the work was done.  I looked back over 6 years of TECO bills and found that on average my electric bill each month is lower after the work was completed.  In the past 70 months only 12 months had a lower bill pre-work.  So I guess the lower bill claim is correct.
The 2 installers were very nice.  They got the work done and did not leave any mess.  They worked hard in an attic in September.
I would not use Florida Energy and Air Services for any other work because of their sales pressure.  But that's just me.
I waited so long to write the review because I am still not happy with myself for taking a pressure sale.  Never again.
I listed the price as fair but to this day I am not sure if it is fair or not.  I needed more estimates.

Response to Providers Response:  I don't recall a phone survey.  You may or may not have called me.  No one returned to my home 6 months later.  I know that did not happen.  Your sales guy was real high pressure.  Thanks to him I know when to walk away from a pressure sale."
nstalling ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors, and skylights lowers energy bills and saves you money. With more efficient windows, you also use less energy, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
Put an end to cold drafts and overheated spaces. ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors keep your home’s temperature consistently comfortable. Even your favorite chair right by the window can be cozy with ENERGY STAR!
Do some of your rooms feel like a sauna in the summer? A standard double-pane window allows approximately 75 percent of the sun’s heat into your home. 1 With ENERGY STAR qualified windows you can stay cool all summer long. Most ENERGY STAR qualified windows reduce the “heat gain” into your home more than typical windows do, without reducing the visible light. You get the light you need without the uncomfortable heat.

"Everything went great! The project took about 2 weeks. The old tar/gravel roof was removed and a new metal roof was installed on 3/4 of the house. The other 1/4 required TPO since it was a completely flat area. A lot of the old wood had to be replaced due to the age and termite activity. Flashing up around the chimney is holding up great and a part of my old rainwater collection gutter system was even reinstalled on the new roof. The fascia and soffit looks great too. We've been through 5-6 rain storms already and there has been no leaks. The wood around the garage was replaced and then the whole thing was wrapped in vinyl for a clean look. Two end features on the peak of the house were wrapped as well and it made the house look very clean and neat. As for cleanup, for the most part all went well. As can be expected, a few old roofing nails were found, but not that many. A few short pieces of metal roofing and a few leftover panels were left behind as well as a bag of screws. (We made a shed with them) Overall we were very satisfied. Other roofing companies we called were quoting us $18-20K without the addition of the extra wood and the cost of the fascia/soffit or the garage repair."
All of the doors and windows were replaced by National HomeCraft.

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

In most states, you can build an in-law suite on your property as long as you follow local building codes. However, it's important that you have enough space on your property to accommodate the new structure. A functional in-law suite in your backyard will require between 300 and 800 square feet of space.

How long it takes to build a log cabin depends on a variety of factors, including its size and design, and whether or not you have to clear the land. Construction can take a few weeks for a prefab log cabin on an established site, but up to eight or nine months for a custom cabin on undeveloped land. In comparison, the timeline to build a house is typically four to 12 months.

While a romantic getaway in a vacation treehouse may sound appealing, building one to live in year-round comes with more challenges. However, a growing number of people are adopting this small-scale living approach to appreciate an off-the-grid, private lifestyle. It allows you to feel closer to nature in a sustainable, customizable, minimalist, and eco-friendly way.

The most accessible place to put a storm shelter is in a garage or basement, though you can work with a closet or patio if you have limited options.
