"Dean was very professional. He came out. He assessed the area. He gave me some ideas of what type of palm tree to replace the one I had, which was totally burnt by the frost we had here in Winter Haven. I found a palm I really liked, and Dean searched high and low to get me this specific one. He was determined to find it to satisfy his customer, which would be me. His crew was extremely clean no mess was left behind. I am very happy with my new palm. I would definitely recommend this company. Thanks again Dean for all your hard work."

"The owner Brad and his crew are wonderful to work with. Communication from initial contact to execution has been excellent. The materials used for the project they've completed in our front yard are of excellent quality. I never knew I'd be so excited about having irrigation >:D!! Their workmanship from beginning to end is superb! I look forward to working/ collaborating on more projects. 10/10 I'd recommend Brewer Landscaping & Irrigation!"

"We had a fence with two gates installed on the perimeter of our 10+ acre property, H&P did a fantastic job. They were extremely professional and had great attention to detail. They were very easy to work with, highly responsive, flexible and accommodating to our ever changing schedule and offered excellent advice. Our fence is beautiful; rock solid and straight as an arrow. Looking forward to our next project together. Highly recommend!"

"MWB Outdoor did an amazing job. Very professional and hard working. They are very methodical and maintain safety in every aspect of the job. Before the job was over Angie’s list called me and asked a couple of questions—then created a review in my name rating MWB with a 3 star and stated job wasn’t complete. This is my only review and if there was a rating higher than 5 MWB would get it."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Drilled wells have a pipe sticking up that’s covered in a plastic or metal casing. On the other hand, a dug well will look like a big hole in the ground and is more similar to what you’d see in a fantasy or Western movie. If you want to be sure, contact the city for documentation on your property’s construction and excavation history.

Some two-in-one tools and machines do both jobs, and those could be the right solution for smaller residential projects. However, the phrase “use the right tool for the job” definitely applies to digging. For the best results, get two separate tools for your trenching and landscape edging projects or call a pro to take care of everything for you.

Completion time ranges from days to weeks, contingent on project size, environmental conditions, and regulatory approvals.

There is no standard depth for burying a septic tank; they are typically buried anywhere from 4 inches to 4 feet underground. The final depth depends on several factors, including the depth of your main sewer line, the height of the bedrock, soil type, local regulations, and the property's landscape. If you plan to grow grass or plants over the tank, a depth of at least 4 to 6 inches is recommended. Deeper tanks can be more difficult to locate, but a septic professional can help find it for you.

The best method for digging a trench depends on the scope of the project. For a short, shallow trench (less than 2 feet deep) in light, soft soil, digging by hand may be sufficient. However, digging by hand is labor-intensive, so consider the effort required. A machine trencher is the better option for longer trenches (over 100 feet), deeper ones, or when dealing with difficult soil conditions, such as rocky or hard ground, or obstructions like tree roots. A machine can save significant time and energy in these situations.
