"We are extremely satisfied with the job performed by Oscar. Oscar painted our home, installed light fixtures and replaced light switches around the house. He showed up on time every day, was detailed driven and maintained a good communication with us during the process. Oscar was always honest and told us exactly what we needed and what we did not need. We absolutely recommend him!"

"We hired David and Glenn to cut and install countertops and cover panels. Like all projects however the scope of the work increased. It did not matter what we threw at them, they had the tools and were very competent at any and all jobs. They were very professional and I would rate their skill level well above that of a handyman. We will definitely hire them again and I will be recommending them to all of my friends."

"They were super responsive and did a great job. I had numerous doors and door slabs that needed to be installed. The door slabs also needed to be cut because they were not pre-cut for the doorhandles. They went above and beyond!!!"

"Mikolai was wonderful! He replaced soffits that had blown off during a hurricane last year. He improved the installation method to guard against the soffits blowing off again in a future storm. I greatly appreciated his problem solving throughout the job. And the cost was very reasonable. Mikolai was professional, polite, thorough, and friendly. I plan to have him do more projects for me in the future."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Poorly designed and incorrectly installed outlets can create an electrical fire hazard, as do some phone chargers and adapters that plug into these outlets. However, most outlets are perfectly safe as long as they remain in working condition. Keep an eye on what you are plugging into the outlet and stay alert for signs of outlet malfunction, like sparks, burning smell, or frequent circuit tripping.

Chimneys should either be sealed or waterproofed, which is different from sealing off—closing at both ends—a chimney. Waterproofing and sealing are both crucial steps to take to prevent water damage and the chimney leaking inside the house. While waterproofing is more comprehensive, both help safeguard your chimney, extending its life span and preventing expensive repairs.

Regular inspections, using dry wood, and installing chimney caps help maintain efficiency and safety.

To stop a smoke alarm from chirping, you must first determine what the device is alerting you to. If your battery is out or has been removed, simply change the battery and the chirping should stop. If it does not, try resetting the alarm, checking the breaker, or calling a professional to take a look.

A smoke alarm that beeps periodically, often every 30 to 60 seconds, usually indicates a low battery. The first step is to replace the battery. If this doesn't solve the problem, try resetting the alarm. However, beeping can also signal other issues, such as dust buildup in the sensors or the unit reaching the end of its life. Different beep patterns can mean different things; for example, multiple beeps might indicate an issue with a combination carbon monoxide detector, while a continuous, loud alarm means smoke has been detected. If a new battery doesn't stop the beeping, it's best to consult your alarm's manual, call a professional, or replace the unit.
