"Anthony and Bradley did an amazing job adding a wall and door to my interior office. The job was done in three days and very nicely well constructed. Priced reasonably and many options for payments available. Definitely our ?go to? folks for all things around the house. I highly recommend them!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"My first handyman did a terrible job. The second one I hired never showed up. I called Big D's. He came out quickly, gave me an estimate and a time. He completed the project doing an excellent job and no surprises. You couldn't go wrong hiring them for your projects."

"Raymond and Hannah responded quickly and professionally to my initial request through Home Advisor. It was evident during our first meeting that they are pros with a lot of experience, along with genuine care for their customers. They gave good, detailed estimates and really attended to our specific requests. We had a varied list of work ( drywall reconstruction, damaged floor removal & repair, roof repair, bathroom fixture installation, stucco repair, general painting and caulking.) They were through and were able to correct other problems that had been missed by previous hires. Their communication was fantastic! I live in another state and was overseeing this long work list for my mom who lives in Florida. I met Raymond and Hannah personally at the beginning of the projects and was confident that they would take care of my mom's property and relieve her stress due to some previous poor workmanship by other contractors. They were quick to call, text and e-mail details and send pictures of their work to help me know the details of all of the projects when I had to travel back to my out of state home. They were patient and respectful of my elderly mom and her needs. We added extra work requests to the list after we observed the excellent workmanship. My mom has another list that she is developing for them in the near future because of the excellent working relationship that they built. They demonstrated honesty, quality workmanship and great communication. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend Raymond and Hannah and Faith Works Home Renovations! "Trevor and his guys did an outstanding job. Very professional and courteous. They assessed the job and were working to replace the door the same day. Finished the job the next morning. Completely satisfied."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes. Not only do gas stoves present the risk of a gas leak, but cooking with gas produces twice as much harmful particulate matter. According to Columbia University’s Climate School, gas stoves can also release formaldehyde, a known human carcinogen, and carbon monoxide, which can be toxic in high concentrations.

Pellet stoves are safer than wood stoves in many ways. They don’t produce as many creosote deposits as wood stoves do, they create less smoke, and the flames are contained, decreasing the risk of any sparks or embers creating a house fire. Pellet stoves also burn more cleanly and efficiently than wood stoves do.

An outlet can start a fire if it has blown a fuse, or is sparking, overheating, or smells burnt. Prevent electrical fires by unplugging the device connected to the outlet and hiring an electrician to determine and fix the outlet’s issue. If the outlet stays hot or isn't working, you should fix it.

You don’t have to put smoke detectors in every room. At a minimum, though, there should be one on every level of your home, one in every bedroom, and one in the hallways outside the bedrooms. If you have a floor without bedrooms, place a smoke detector in the living room or next to any stairs that lead to an upper level. Attics and basements should also have at least one smoke alarm.

Bioethanol fireplaces are safe when users follow the instructions and maintain the fireplace. Ethanol is flammable, however, and should be kept away from flammable surfaces, children, and pets.
