"JGB performed these services for me on two separate occasions. The blinds were done on a deal from Angie's List and they were so good I recalled them to do the carpentry on the kitchen cabinet to fit my refrigerator under the cabinet. Both jobs were completed with 100% satisfaction and would definitely use again."

"Dynamic colors did a fantastic and professional job for us. We had several rooms painted, as well as a ton of touch ups and repairs in other rooms. The crew was prompt and kept the place very clean while they were here. Would definitely recommend Anthony and his company."

""What an amazing group of men who came to help me move! They were kind, compassionate to my moving and cared for my household goods as if they were their own! Lester, JR, Alan, and Hector were so great! I appreciate their help and support during my move. Kristin booked my move anticipating my needs and offered her support at every turn. I have told everyone about this wonderful company and will use them for all of my future moves! Thank you so very much!""

"Highly recommend! Juan and Joel were very good to work with! They did a fabulous job and went above and beyond. They searched for soft close hardware to fit our cabinets and drove an hour each way to pick up the proper hinges. They show up on time and finished in record time! Would highly recommend Juan and Joel at Classy Restoration!"

"Jeff came out to estimate the several smaller jobs we had to do. We discussed each one and set the appointment. Jeff called to let us know he was running a tad late (no problem, we appreciated the call). He came out and did an excellent job on each project we had, from pantry door installation to light fixtures to installing a new bracket for the mailbox. Excellent work. We'll be using him again. Jeff is our "go-to" guy. So happy we found him."

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.
