"Don from Spectrum came over the day before to give me a solid quote for approximately 750 sq feet of wall space. I already had the paint although I needed more and he let me know exactly how much I was going to need. The next day he came and started the job and finished it the same day. Don may be the nicest man I've ever met and was so courteous and clean. He was a pleasure to be around and was very informative in other things that I needed done. I will be seeking him out again to do some ceiling work for me. You can not go wrong with him."

Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space. 

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.
