Zack was on time, skilled and does very good work.

It took a while to get in touch and set up a date, but once it was arranged, he came at appointed date and time as promised. The fan installation was done without a hitch. We were very pleased with the work. We were so pleased, we spoke with him about other jobs we wanted done around the house; in detail. He seemed interested, even gave us a quote; however, we never heard back from him again. For this reason, we never called him back for any other work. But for the fan installation we had done...it was a great job.

He went above and beyond.  He made sure of quality work even though I would not have noticed any corner cutting.  Very good and quality work

Zach did a great job.  Large wood sided house did a full pressure wash, scraped, sanded primed, and painted exterior and interior three story foyer.  Rebuilt front door entry way based on photos, very capable.  Repaired intior ceiling from water damage.  Replaced and repaired some rotted wood.  Was punctual, reliable, very friendly and trustworthy.  Felt very comfortable having him I our home.  

They did an excellent job. Were fast and they cleaned up after themselves. Could not have been better! Will use them again.

I have used Zach several times in the last few months for different home improvement items. Zach is a very knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy individual that completes his work how he would want it done in his own house He does not cut corners and will not only complete the job you hire him for but will make minor repairs for you if he come across things that need fixing in the course of his work. For example, while painting our deck Zach noticed that our screen doors needed to be fixed and after talking with me, he took care of those doors for us. He has become the first person I think of if something comes up around my house that needs to be looked at. He always takes the time to tell me what all he will be doing and doesn't try to talk me into things I don't need. His work quality is excellent and his work ethic is something to be admired. My husband and I both would highly recommend him for any job large or small.

Outstanding!  Zach went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right with the floors.  He also pointed out other areas that needed to be take care of and offered to complete during this project.

I contacted Zach through Angie's List after reading some of the reviews. He responded within a day and we set up a time for an estimate. He showed up for the scheduled estimate (on time), and we walked around the house and talked about all the items that needed attention. The next day, he emailed me a detailed quote. The quote was VERY reasonable, we scheduled a start date for a few weeks later (my choice).
Due to some rainy weather and because I had a pretty long list of projects, Zach was at my house every day for a week once the work got started. By the second day, I decided that there was no need for me to sit around at the house and "supervise", so I left him a key and returned to work. I felt 100% comfortable with him in my house, whether I was home or not (and I'm a single female, for what it's worth). He kept in constant contact about his progress, and every evening before he left, he'd give me an update and a plan for the following day. I had absolutely NO issues with his communication...he was available via phone, text, email, and Angie's List. Granted, he didn't return my calls within minutes, but the guy is WORKING, not sitting around waiting for people to contact him.
As far as the work is concerned, my expectations were totally exceeded. All of the repairs were done with quality materials, and they were done correctly, exactly as we'd discussed. Over the course of a week, Zach came across a few smaller issues that hadn't been apparent during the estimate process, and he went ahead and repaired them while he was working (without adding to the quote). He also corrected a few things that previous contractors had screwed up. I'm completely happy with everything Zach did at my house, and I've already recommended him to a few friends. I actually hate my 30+ year old house a little less now. Thanks, Zach!!

He did everything I asked and listened really well.  The estimate was detailed and the pricing was very reasonable for how hard he worked and how responsive he was to my phone calls.  He was very personable, and did all the work himself except when he painted our house he had a second person.

From the moment I met Zach I felt good about who I was hiring. Zach was always professional, on time , and very detail oriented. He takes time to do the job right and always took time to answer my questions or explain what he was going to do next. Zach has a wide range of knowledge about home renovation and ended up fixing things for us that we didn't have in our original plan. Zach's helper was always on time, polite and efficient. Zach cares about doing a good job, it's not all about the money. I would hire him again in a second and matter of fact am in the middle of getting an estimate from him for another job I need done. Excellent work!!! Great guy!!

It went very well. Once we had made our initial contact we scheduled an appointment, he came and preformed the service. Very nice young man.

Came to do a quote within a couple of days of calling. Gave a discount on labor and for being an Angie's list member. I had living/dining/kitchen area painted, as well as master bed/bath, and touch up on a bathroom I painted myself. His prices seemed very reasonable and included all paint and supplies. All I had to do was choose the colors. He was on time and professional. Would use again.

It was slow communicating with Zach but I have to say I tried several companies from angies list and none of them were prompt
on returning calls. They were all apparently very busy. I am happy with the job and Zach was polite, prompt and very easy to work with. The only reason I gave a B in quality is there is a torn area of wallpager in the foyer near the ceiling that was glued back up but not well. Even though I didn't see it until they had left (just hadn't looked there yet) it is very noticeable. But as that is the last bit of wallpaper in the house it will be coming down when I have the time and money. I would hire Zach again.

I purchased a special offer from American Home renovation through Angies list for a Ceiling Fan installation.
I called for an appointment and left a message. Zack  called me back later that day and we scheduled a  time for the service . Zack arrived on time and within a couple of hours, he installed 2 ceiling fans. Great job!

Great, no problems! Zach arrived at scheduled time, even though it had been raining most of the day. He got right to work removing old, non-functioning fan, installing new one. Once installed he took time to make sure it was working, cleaned up after himself, and hauled away old fan. I was very pleased with Zach's work, & I plan to use his services in a future project I discussed with him. I would definitely recommend Zach & American Home Renovation to others!

My wife felt very comfortable with Zack in the house while I was at work.  She said he was very respectful and professional.  He did exactly what he said for exactly the price he quoted.  It looks great too.  We were very pleased with his services and definitely recommend him.

Zach did a great job for us, converting an old built in entertainment space into a pantry for the kitchen.  Drywall work is flawless and the pantry looks like it was built when the house was build, everything looks like it belongs.
He converted an toilet area in the bathroom into a true water closet - matching the glass block in shower area to make it look like original construction.
Put in door for an office area that had a large opening to give privacy.
He prepared and painted all walls and ceilings inside along with sealing the front exterior stucco and painting.
As in all jobs, little things came up from time to time, Zach would just make the corrections without a any hassle over pricing.  He honored his quote although some things probably cost him a little more.
He has a lot of great ideas and is a true craftsman that has pride in his workmanship.  3rd generation carpenter.
We have a few small projects that we will work with Zach on in the future, once we are moved in. 
  

4/29 - weeks later, I have been unable to reach Zach, has not returned calls and there is only one small problem with a sticking door however, very disappointing that he has gone to radio silence on following up with me.  After downgrading his review because of his communication habits, I know that I will not use him again.  While you have his attention, he is really good, once you loose it, he is like all the others.

Everything went very well.  The job was accomplished over Friday and Saturday.  Zach covered everything with plastic wrap so there was no chance of spatter on our furniture.  This is the 2nd time we have used him and we will gladly use his services again.

Zach came and did an estimate for the work we wanted to accomplish.  We set a date one month out and he kept us updated via email.  He even offered to pick up our door and other supplies.  He showed up promptly both days and was extremely professional.   He was very meticulous and even amended our invoice when the work we contracted for was not as extensive as we expected.  He agreed to do extra work when he completed our original job that we were also very satisfied with.  We highly recommend him and plan to use him again for all of our home improvements.  He did an excellent job and even gave a 10% credit for finding him on Angie's List.
