He’s moved back to Alabama for his wife’s work and has decided to be his own boss again and is now taking jobs exclusively from Home Advisor. I hired him to replace balusters on our 3 staircases but instead, he created works of art at a great price. He also built some awesome columns to make a statement when reaching the top of one of the staircases. He can literally do anything. The most responsive and responsible contractor I have ever used. He does all the work himself and brings his own shop vac, broom, and mop and constantly cleans up as he goes. I could not recommend him more highly! "This remodeling took 3 months and was very extensive due to the kitchen and master bathroom were leveled down to the foundation slab. Everything was replaced in kitchen; lights, electrical sockets removed or changed, flooring, cabinets, all appliances, added trash compactors, painting, replacing baseboards, backsplash tile and mural. Master bathroom included moving a couple walls, lights, electrical sockets removed or changed, flooring, replacing baseboards and adding quarter-round, changing ceiling texture, and painting. I mention this list (which isn't comprehensive) to give you an idea of the extensive amount of work. This is important because I have a very keen eye for the quality of a contractor's work, due to my skills, and I used to be in the contracting business for a short time many years ago. My observations are to make sure all work agreed on and changes are in writing, because it will help everyone involved agree to the work required. We disagreed on a few changes, but Jimmie was professional and we came to an understanding that worked for us both. If your work is a major project like mine was then expect delays like I did. He expected 6-8 weeks and it took 11 weeks. That's not bad. We had to find another tile crew which is what delayed the project. That's not Jimmie's fault, but every contractor needs to have other people to call to pick up the slack. The quality of the work IS top quality, He is respectful and do clean up there daily trash. The painting is great if Brian does that work. Lastly, they DO show up to do repairs after the work is done, but it may take a couple requests to pin down a time. That's really good when they're backed up several months like everyone."

"I have had mark do a new roof, build a custom fence with stain, a pool deck with two stairs, a shed, paint my whole house, gutters cleaned and house pressure washed, custom furniture, water heater and generac generator installed, wood and tile floors installed, appliances installed, new light fixtures, fans, faucets, plumbing refinishing my doors and electrical and a total house flip done with him. Excellent top notch carpenter. There are probably more things I have had him do but the list goes on. You can’t go wrong with him and his professional knowledge. I will continue to use him and only him. With his attention to detail he is one of the best."
