"Rodney was very polite and professional. He was able to clear the drain after a great deal of effort. The price was reasonable and comparable to the company we generally use for this type of issue. We will definitely use David Gray, again!"

"The serviceman came out and got to work after I explained what was to be done. He needed to get some parts for the job so it took a little longer than I expected. It was a standard price for the install of my laundry room sink/vanity and the quality was excellent."

"crew was easy to communicate with; thats important to me. Explained process and completed job efficiently. I have had no rain since the installation so I don't have any idea what will happen in a strong rain or tropical depression. I'll have a better idea when I get more rain. Crew manager was very good guy with communication; thanks."

"We recently had work done by Asher Outdoors Landscaping. They removed the old sod and installed new sod for a beautiful new healthy look and provided and planted 2 new gorgeous Robellini in our front yard. Their team was client focused and very experienced. From the first callback, to meeting with Gary Asher, we knew when and what to expect. Great service from everyone on his staff. It's a 5 star rating from us .....!!!"

"I just hired Total Home Roofing to install a new roof. Chris Hawkins is my consultant. He has been very helpful and calming since this is a big project. All my requests and questions were immediately addressed promptly. I hired him right on the spot as I felt confident as opposed to other companies I interviewed."

"Chris, from Progressive, came out last week to review the issues I was having with low water pressure in all zones (I have 5 in total).  Chris determined that it was probably due to clogged well.     Chris was the first irrigation pro to suggest that the cause was due to a dirty well and not due to some other reason, that in the past other irrigation pros had suggested and failed to fix my low pressure problem.      Chris sent me a quote, and the work was scheduled to be done on Monday, May 9.    Chris' brother, Tom, came out on 5/9 and began the process to clean the well, which was quite dirty.    The chemicals used to clean the well need to sit for a couple of hours so Tom left and came back at around 6pm, with his worker, Scott and stayed until 8pm.    The well was running clean but when he started up the system, he found that the control valve head filters (5) were very dirty and suggested that new control valve filters be installed because there was no way to clean the existing filter.    A new filter was $15 each, however,  I went for a complete new control valve (5 total)  because it was a little more but made more sense in the long run.    Since Tom did not have the parts he needed on his truck, he had to come back today (5/10) to complete the job.    Tom re-set my irrigation system and all zones are working better than I have ever seen them function since I've owned my home.    Tom and Scott were extremely polite, took time to explain everything they were doing, and worked clean!     If you want the best in irrigation and well repair, look no further and call Progressive Pump and Irrigation.   I'm extremely happy that I found such a knowledgeable irrigation pro and recommend them highly!!!

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, installing or replacing a storm door is a manageable DIY project, especially for those with experience replacing regular doors. Many modern storm doors feature simple, pre-hung designs and come with the necessary hardware, making installation more convenient. With basic tools, a DIY installation is possible, though professional services can ensure proper alignment and weatherproofing. On average, installing a pre-hung storm door takes about four hours.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

There are several types of storm doors, including vinyl-clad, steel-clad, aluminum, and wood-core, and each type has its own benefits. For example, vinyl-clad storm doors are excellent at keeping out water, while steel-clad storm doors hold up well against high winds. There are also multiple styles of storm doors, ranging from full-view (made entirely of glass) to high-view (with just a small glass panel).

Like many common door problems, warping can be caused by improper installation. When a door isn't installed correctly, there's a good chance that the poor seal is allowing moisture and drafts to seep through. When this happens, humidity will build up in the wood until it swells and warps.

A storm door should be the same size as the front door. Both doors will fit into the same opening on the exterior of the home, so you can expect the storm door to be the same size as the front door. Most doors will be about 32 or 36 inches wide and 75 or 81 inches tall, although you can customize your door sizes.
