"Cornerstone covered our concrete sidewalk with pavers and wow, what a difference! It looks so good Iâ  ve asked them to come back and do more. Everything was as finished and no mess or debris left behind. Highly recommend!."

"I recently had a pool built by Eagle Concrete and I couldn't be happier with the end result. From the very beginning, they were professional and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. They made sure I was comfortable with every step of the process, and their attention to detail was impressive. They worked efficiently and effectively, and the result is a beautiful pool that exceeds my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend them for anyone looking to have a pool built. "Much of the original brick coping around a large in ground swimming pool had to be repaired because it had come loose over many years. New bricks were not available so the old bricks had to be removed and cleaned of old grout and mortar. The pool ledge also had to be cleaned and leveled before the bricks could be reset with new mortar and grout. This was a major and difficult repair. The owner Brendan did most of the work himself and did it well. I was impressed with the quality of the work and also with his integrity and honesty. It was a pleasure working with him and his original estimate for this complex job was right on. I strongly recommend this company for other projects."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Brick and stone are durable, low-maintenance materials for siding and walls that offer excellent insulation, aesthetic appeal, and can increase property value.

A chimney cleaning brick or log can help loosen creosote between professional chimney cleaning appointments. Although they can help keep your chimney cleaner, they are not a substitute for chimney sweeping and are not meant to be used regularly.

Yes, you can do German schmear on stone. You can account for the more textured and rough surface of stone by using a large paintbrush instead of a putty knife. A brush allows you to drag mortar across the stone to get it into all the cracks and crevices. However, a brush will cover more of the surface, so you may need a wet sponge to scrub excess mortar and expose more of your stone.

Choosing the right paint color for your brick house can be a daunting task. A great strategy is to find painted brick houses that you like and try to replicate the look by researching their colors or asking the homeowners for the specific paint color code.

If you're looking for specific ideas, several colors work well on brick. Different shades of white, such as off-white or cream-white, can create a modern, timeless, and classic look that is unlikely to go out of style. For a more contemporary aesthetic, you might consider a matte black tone. Other popular choices include gray, blue, and sage green.

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.
