"Scott installed laminate flooring in our bedroom. What a job!!! Showed up on time and performed like a true professional, which he is. Explained stuff neither my wife or i new about flooring. Not only professional, but a great attitude and personality. Heâ s the Man for your next job. Thank you Scott for the beautiful job and the laughs we had. We also made a new friend. Jim and Mary"

"Everything went smoothly. We were on a time crunch, and had to change the installation date to the weekend. Austin was our guy and he was always on top of things and was in contact with us. They didn’t have the transition pieces available on the dates the installers showed up but he said it was not a problem for them to do the flooring first, and transitions a couple days later. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal but we live in a rural area, far away from their company so it’s a pain to get out here! The flooring looks and feels awesome. I don’t remember what it’s called but it’s an innovative, durable, lifetime guaranteed type of flooring. Most expensive, but worth the price since we have 2 dogs and 2 cats."

"My wife and I had a couple flooring repairs that needed to be done. I contacted Gary and he came out and provided a quote the same day. We scheduled the repair for two days later. Gary did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. We are very satisfied and would gladly recommend him to anyone looking to have a new floor installed or have any repairs that need to be completed."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

Land survey reports have a boatload of information relevant to several scenarios. Here are the types of information contained with a survey, though it depends on your chosen type of land survey. Exact boundaries and dimensions of a given property General topography, including both natural and artificial landmarks Location of utility fixtures, like water mains Confirmation of any easements or encroachments on a piece of property Assessment of land elevation to buy flood insurance Updated information to add to a pre-existing property map
