"Another quality job by Top Notch. Needed a tree out and stump ground. This is the third time I hired them. Highly recommend them for anything you need for trees."

Small jobs welcome

"Mr. Waddell went above and beyond, initially i thought it would be light trimming and pruning due to the price, but he ended up completely clearing the property line with an easement of 3 to 5 feet for fence installation, noticing impeding flora that I had even missed on initial assessment, was a knowledgeable arborist, and recommended simple DIY solutions that would save me money. Always had sharp attention to detail pointing out hazards such as hornets nests, and animal dens nearby to safeguard children and pets from. At the end of every workday he was careful to not only remove the limbs and underbrush from the property, but even cleared walkways and driveways of leaves and small vegetation for maximum asthetic value. 100% recommendation for "thorough completion" and "value for money"... don't deal with overpriced, half-measure services.... call Ninja... I'm glad I did."

"Consider that I don't feel that I represent the demanding the and often unrealistic type customer asking to have tree work done. The company was aware of this. I had no tight and strict deadline for the work to be completed. The company was aware of this. The work turned out great and was completed in a satisfactory time frame."

"The crew that came to trim our tree was very efficient. We needed a tree trimming company that would climb our tree to trim certain branches. We did not have room for heavy equipment and it was hard to find what we were looking for in a tree service. Down Home Quality Tree Service sent out a crew that had an excellent employee who climbed our tree and knew how to use ropes and leverage to cut and lower huge heavy limbs. The employee on the ground knew just what to do to help the climber lower the limbs. There was a third employee who helped by carrying the limbs out to the trailer after the limbs were cut in smaller sections. They went above and beyond! When the crew left my yard it looked as if no one had been working back there, but the two trees that were trimmed looked fantastic! Quick, safe, efficient and neat. I would definitely use and recommend Down Home Quality Tree Service, again."

"We are so happy with the work we received today from Pink’s Tree Services! They arrived a little before our scheduled appointment and quickly began to remove our dead palm which had a very heavy and stubborn root ball. All three professionals worked diligently to remove it loop during one of the hottest days this summer. The job was completed quickly and professionally! The price for this job was very reasonable. I highly recommend Pink’s for any tree removal needs! I will definitely hire them again in the future!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

On average, tree removal costs around $750, with a typical range between $200 and $2,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the tree's height, trunk diameter, species, and overall health. Accessibility is also a key factor; costs will be higher if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or located near structures like power lines or your home. Additional costs may apply for services such as stump removal (which can add $100 to $150), log-splitting, debris cleanup, and obtaining necessary permits. It is also customary to tip the professional, usually between $20 and $100.

There are several signs that may indicate a tree needs to be cut down. These include visible damage to the trunk or branches, a hollow trunk, extensive storm damage, or a significant lean to one side. Other warning signs are pest infestations or the tree growing too close to a house, power lines, or other structures. It is best to hire a professional arborist to inspect the tree, as they can determine if it can be saved or if removal is necessary.

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.

Dead tree branches should be removed, because they can cause the tree to lose nutrients. They can also make the tree more susceptible to disease and pests. Removing dead and diseased branches can help the tree recover and increase the odds of saving a dying tree. Make sure to prune the tree correctly to avoid damaging it further.

Pruning trees during the summer can be a bad idea because the new growth will take place during the hottest months of the year, which can stress your tree out. Similarly, pruning during the early fall can be a bad idea, too, because you’d be stimulating new growth when most trees are aiming to go dormant.

Pruning recommendations will vary by the type of tree, but generally, waiting until winter to prune your trees is a good idea.
