"Excellent work. Removed and ground down tree stump. You cannot tell there was a tree there before! Great cleanup work. Insurance was from reputable companies. I would hire them again."

"Jose and his crew worked on our yard for 15/20 years by now. He moved our grass and trim our bushes every season. At the beginning, a neighbor introduced him to me at that time. Now, he works on ten properties in our neighborhood Jose. and his crew are reliable. They show up every week to do their job. They do a good job. We also never had security issues with him and his crew."

"We’ve been having Brandywine Tree & Shrub do our tree maintenance for years & they’ve always done excellent work & clean up the area when finished. Have equipment available that others don’t have to do the job right even with HUGE trees. Came out for initial estimate and were here in about 2 weeks to complete the job.Usually we only have tree maintenance done but they also removed debris hanging off edges of our gutter helmets & also removed branches & other tree debris from our roof (2-story home). Cut down 2 trees completely, cleaned up and reduced canopy of three other trees (one HUGE) as well. Removed all debris. HIGHLY recommend-some arborists will butcher your trees-Brandywine Tree & Shrub won’t - they are well trained, courteous, and always do a superb job."

"I would recommend LA's Quality Tree Service to anyone who wants a professional tree service After the blow of high winds left our yard with one 80 foot tree uprooted and crashing down on two other smaller trees and numerous other tree damage. Luis came out with in an hour after calling his company. Gave a very fair price. The crew came out the next day and started the clean up. They were on time every morning and worked two full days. Cutting down six trees (25' to 80') Lots of downed branches (some 25' long and about 18" thick) and grinded the tree stump. The whole crew was professional, cleaned up every evening. Thankful we found LA's Quality Tree Service."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In Newark, tree removal for smaller trees usually takes a few hours, while large or complex removals may extend over one to two days, especially if access is limited. Pruning a mature tree often requires several hours, depending on canopy size. Tree planting and stump grinding typically take a few hours each. Weather conditions and permit requirements can also influence project timelines.

Helpful?

In Newark, frequent mistakes include pruning trees during the wrong season, which can increase disease risk, and over-pruning, which weakens tree structure. Homeowners sometimes overlook local tree ordinances or attempt hazardous removals near power lines. Planting species unsuited to Newark’s clay soil and neglecting preventive storm preparation can also lead to costly damage. Consulting local tree experts helps avoid these issues.

Helpful?

In Newark, tree service projects can impact underground utilities, septic systems, and foundations, particularly in areas with dense clay soil. Watch for tree roots near utility lines, slow drainage, or cracks in paved surfaces. Before starting, coordinate with utility providers and assess how changes may alter drainage or affect neighboring properties. Engaging a local tree professional helps prevent unintended disruptions to essential systems.

Helpful?

In Newark, an effective seasonal tree inspection routine includes checking for winter storm damage and pest issues each spring, monitoring for drought stress and broken limbs during summer, scheduling structural pruning in fall, and inspecting for ice or animal damage in winter. Regularly examine soil conditions, look for deadwood, and plan new plantings in early spring to support long-term tree health and safety.

Helpful?

In Newark, homeowners are increasingly selecting native trees such as American Holly and Tulip Poplar for their resilience and compatibility with local soil. Popular trends include storm-resistant pruning to reduce wind damage, using organic mulches for tree health, and recycling wood chips. Many residents also prioritize planting for shade to improve home energy efficiency and choose disease-resistant varieties to minimize ongoing tree maintenance.
