"Very smooth. Steve and his team did a great job from quote to completion. Easy to communicate with and helpful every step of the way for someone who has not used this product before. Continue to get great compliments from our customers as to how the floor has transformed the feel of the office. Highly recommend for either commercial or residential jobs!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Working with Zach King (and his assistant, also named Zach) was great from start to finish. He gave a clear estimate (both in terms of money and time), arrived when he said he would, completed the project in time and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He went above and beyond what was expected and even helped me finish a project I was working on that was not related to the garage flooring. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had of getting work done in Sussex County."

"I had my garage floor epoxied. The work done in a professional manner. Floorguard of Pennsylvania stuck to the schedule and all went smooth. Some advice I would give future customers regardless of which contractor hired is to remove everything from the garage including items on shelves if you are having your garage floor blasted. My floor had latex paint that needed to be removed. The contractor said those items not on the floor such as shelving could stay. While the shelving did not interfere with his work, the amount of dust created by the blasting deposited a thick layer over those items on shelves and it was quite a chore to get them clean."

"I found them on Angies List and they were the first business to contact me. Followed through with being on time for their estimate consultation and I hired them on the spot! Ben was very knowledgeable of his product and came to do the job within the week. Worked until the job was done, in the dark! I have already had several of my friends and neighbors contact them, even my sister in CA is interested in getting this application done at her home after seeing my before and after pictures! Highly recommend them! Support local businesses!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

You can’t paint a foundation like you would the walls in your home; there are a few extra important steps to take. Instead of just busting out the paint, you should clean the surface and fix any impurities before grabbing the brush. Using a paint sprayer to apply sealant and primer will ensure you have the perfect canvas to apply your chosen paint color.

Epoxy and polyurethane sealers can last five to 10 years, while acrylic sealers last two to three years or more depending on the use, wear of the surface, and type of sealer you choose. Areas that see heavy traffic or extreme ice and snow may require more frequent sealing. Test your concrete every two years to gauge how it responds to absorbing water or if it fully repels it for longer than 20 seconds.

DIY is possible for small areas. Professional installation ensures proper leveling and finishing for durability.

Options include epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylic for various uses.

The lifespan of stained concrete can range from five years to a lifetime, depending on the type of stain used and how well it is maintained. Acid-based stains penetrate the concrete and can last 20 years or more, while water-based stains are less durable and may last around five years, especially on outdoor surfaces exposed to UV light and weather. To preserve the color and extend the life of the finish, stained concrete should be properly sealed and then resealed every three to five years. Factors like foot traffic, climate, and proper initial application also affect its longevity.
