"Our last coat (3rd) of polyurethane went on today and we literally just spent 15 minutes walking around our house and admiring the absolute beautiful job that Best Choice did with our floors. Easily the best upgrade to our home we could have done. Other companies that quoted us said that they would not be able to get the bevels out of the pre treated boards installed in our house or get the color we wanted because of that. Best Choice Flooring not only was able to achieve that beautifully but at also a competitive price. Already recommending them to family and friends."

"The girls at Delmarva Kleaning were prompt, professional and a delight to work with. They were enthusiastic and worked hard for their entire visit. Their fee was more than reasonable given the resources they brought to the job. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a thorough cleaning of a home or business on the Delmarva Peninsula! I will use them again without question!"

"I had a whole house cleaning as I was moving out of a rental home. Stacey came by and we discussed what I wanted done. She was very personable and professional and made me feel at ease. She went above and beyond by picking up keys at a different location and then bringing them back. The cleaning process went well and I would definitely recommend T N T cleaning service."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can polish an existing concrete floor—as long as the slab is structurally sound and in good shape. In fact, that’s what makes this type of flooring upgrade so appealing. Polishing works best on bare concrete with minimal surface damage, although you can usually repair cracks and stains before the grinding and buffing begins. Instead of ripping out your existing concrete floor, polishing it can turn it into a high-shine showpiece that’s both practical and sleek.

You should strip and wax hardwood floors every six months to two years. The actual length of time between stripping and waxing depends on the wear and tear that the floors see. Stripping and waxing floors can help repair hardwood floor damage and give the room a fresh look.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Polishing a concrete floor isn’t as expensive as it sounds—it’s actually one of the more budget-friendly upscale flooring options out there. On average, it costs $4,500, with most projects falling between $1,000 and $8,000 . When you’re working with an existing slab of concrete, you skip material costs entirely, so it’s even more affordable. If you want a glossy, durable floor without paying hardwood or tile prices, polished concrete delivers serious shine without the sticker shock.
