"I am extremely pleased with the work Carlos did for me. He weeded my flower beds, put fresh mulch down in all beds, trimmed a couple of bushes and spread stone. My yard looks beautiful. Before you begin landscaping with rocks, put down a weed barrier or landscape fabric to prevent pesky weeds from poking through. 

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.
