"This is professional misconduct conduct pertaining to the treatment of my handicapped son and misrepresentation of skills, fraud, lack of quality and knowledge, and price gouging, and lack of finished products as well as damage to my home. 1. My handicapped son: Mr. Bose was advised before he started work that Christopher would offer to help and he was directed to decline for the following reasons: Christopher is a traumatic brain injury survivor having only one hemisphere of his brain remaining. Any falls resulting in additional head trauma are high odds to result in death because of the remaining hemisphere not being supported putting the brain stem at risk. Christopher is a constant fall risk due to his neurological damage and lack of ability to safely walk. Due to his injury, his executive functioning, he is unable to follow multistep directions or have rapid recall of new topics such as kitchen remodeling or cabinetry. Such activities put Christopher in danger; therefore, it is a violation of Christopher rights as a handicapped individual to be taken advantage of by getting him to lift cabinets, counter top, or carry such heavy objects from his trailer to inside the house which resulted in damage to new flooring and the walls. Christopher has been complaining of back pain since then. Additionally, Mr. Bose was given a date and time to be present to meet to discuss issues that will be detailed following this description of the occurrence of the day we were to meet. He had a 4-hour window to arrive so he assured me would be no problem. I waited an additional 30 minutes at which time; I prepared to leave for an appointment then he pulled up. I advised him that he didn't adhere to the prescribed meeting time, and that I had to leave. I directed him to leave as I was now late due to waiting for him. He started to argue with me. I was very direct that he was not permitted to enter my home without me there for any reason until the remainder of the list was reviewed. I directed him to leave immediately at which time he got into his truck and I my car. I was waiting for him to pull out behind me, so I backed up to see his truck. He was no longer in his truck but hiding at the corner of my house trying to get my handicapped son to let him into my home without permission after he was expressly told he was unwelcome to do so. He admitted to trying to gain unlawful entry to my home. At time I advised him to get in his truck and immediately leave, or I was calling the Delaware State Police in 1 minute. Only then did he leave, and I followed him to ensure he didn't loop back around to my home. 2. The 24 in the cabinet next to the refrigerator: the silverware drawer was left with raw wood and cannot be removed to put any sealant on the wood to make it functional without damage to the unfinished wood. The pull-out shelves are raw wood as well. The drawer slides do not glide out smoothly nor does the bottom one stay in place as its spring loaded and it does not function properly. It won't close. The cabinet doors and hinges are not hung level, so the doors are misaligned nor door they swing open flawlessly due to not being properly hung. Due to the rough way this was carried in, the cabinet door was damaged as a result of the careless manner in which it was carried. It was left full of sawdust and dirt. 3. Placement of the dishwasher: due to the measurements Mr. Bose decided to use, the dishwasher does not align with the window as a result, the electrical outlet is being covered up nor can an outlet cover be put on this receptacle. Wiring is openly visible, and I cannot have an appraisal of my home as it will be faulted for the misalignment and the receptacle and wiring issue. Also, pertaining to the dishwasher, the wood framing that was used above the dishwasher fell apart due to a lack of proper building technique. He used caulking to put this together, so it fell apart when the electrician tried to install the dishwasher. 4. The 36 in the cabinet base next to the dishwasher: this cabinet was to have shelves; there are none. This should not have been 36 inches as this caused the misalignment of the dishwasher and window. The cabinet should have been 34 inches to avoid the issues designated in item number. The interior to this cabinet is unfished; it is raw wood. 5. Due to the careless way these cabinets were brought in, the cabinet doors sustained visible damage nor are the doors hung level as with item number 2. 6. The adjacent 36 in cabinet base: there is again damage to these doors due careless, rough handling. The damage is plainly visible. I did request for this cabinet to not have anything on the interior; it was the only one as I am having custom cookware storage done. 7. The cabinet to house the wall oven/microwave: has unfinished wood inside the drawer at the bottom and inside. It also does not slide open smoothly. It is visible where he spilled the stain, making no attempt to change this. The electrician does not believe this is effectively constructed to hold the wall oven unit and the warmer. He believes it will collapse under the weight due to a lack of support in the structure of the cabinet. As a result, he refused to do the installation and now all these appliances are sitting in my kitchen and dining room making it difficult to walk for those with disabilities. These appliances have been sitting in my house since February 2025. 8. The cabinet over my cooktop: the edges are unfinished including the underside of the cabinet. The screws and all areas where he drilled are openly visible, the edges are rough and jagged. The wood inside the cabinet is raw, unfinished wood with pencil markings still visible inside the cabinet, jagged edges inside the cabinet, all the sides of the cabinet do not meet flush. 9. The next to the cabinet over the cooktop: the bottom of the inside is raw, unfinished, and unsanded. As will all other cabinets, it's full of sawdust and debris. The back of the cabinet had marks on the wood as if he recycled it from another client’s project. It was supposed to have one shelf and does not. One the outside edge of the cabinet, pencil lines are visible and stained over top that they cannot be removed. The underside of the cabinet is raw, unfinished, unsanded wood with huge drill holes not covered. 10. The countertop: He was directed to only use brand name Corriann countertop that he agreed to do. He lied, charged me for brand name Corriann but installed a no name product from Korea pocketing the extra money. That's fraud. It stains immediately. He was requested to use a certified Corriann installer after the fiasco with my island, next item. The countertop is not uniformly measured; all the seams are visible and look like a child played with playdough. There are dips and dives all around the edges. I made a point to show him my kitchen in town and told him if he couldn't replicate that work, he had to get a certified installer. He used adhesive for some reason getting it all over the countertop, cook top, floors, cabinets. He ran out of caulking then accused my one son of stealing it from him. The countertop is deplorable. 11. The island Corriann: this was original and in perfect condition until Mr. Bose ruined it. He incorrectly drilled a hole and incorrectly installed the faucet. He incorrectly cut, very poorly executed, the sink opening that will leak because it was not installed correctly. The wood he used looks like scraps. It's very sloppy work. None of the original kitchen woodwork looks so poorly executed. The edges of the Corriann are now all choppy looking and uneven. Nothing like my kitchen in town. He assured me it would look as good because I state that saving money on the certified installer wasn't acceptable if he couldn't equal the work in my home in town. The top doesn’t fit flush to the island any longer and it shifts which means it could fracture. He fractured 2 of the cabinet doors on the island. He said he could do a better garbage can roll out then put in a small bathroom trash can inside of a full-size cabinet. This will be damaging to the appraisal value. I can't allow the appraisal t"

FAQs for cabinet contracting projects in Dagsboro, DE
Custom cabinets are worth the investment to transform the look of your kitchen with a design, color scheme, and aesthetic that’s unique to your home. If you’re looking for cabinets that reflect your personality but are more cost-effective, semi-custom cabinets are a great alternative that allows you to showcase your style, but with pre-made cabinets instead of fully custom. Custom cabinets also provide a 70 to 80 percent return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase.
The cost of cabinet refacing is $7,230 on average. However, it's possible to pay between $1,200 and $16,000 for this project. Factors like the number of cabinets and the refacing materials impact the total cost significantly.
For example, plastic laminate is the most cost-effective cabinet option for refacing, costing $1,000 to $3,000. If you're looking for solid wood cabinets, you can expect to pay more, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 on average for refacing.
The difference between cabinet refinishing vs. cabinet refacing is that the latter involves replacing most of the cabinet components, whereas the former only freshes the exterior look of the cabinetry.
Cabinet refinishing involves the cabinetry being disassembled, cleaned, and sanded, then a new finish, like paint or glaze, is applied. You can refinish the cabinet doors or go further and refinish the cabinet boxes, too.
Cabinet refacing involves replacing the majority of the cabinet materials, including the cabinet, drawer doors, and hardware. In this process, a veneer is applied over the existing cabinet boxes to make them look new.
The cost to refinish cabinets is $3,000 on average. However, this cost can range from $700 to $6,000, depending on the size and location of the cabinets, the refinishing method, and number of cabinets.
Staining your cabinet doors is the most cost-effective option, costing between $4 and $10 per square foot. However, if you choose to glaze them, that price jumps to $10 to $25 per square foot.
Custom cabinets cost between $500 and $1,200 per linear foot on average to install. Factors like materials, size, and type of cabinet doors you choose significantly affect the overall cost.
For example, a basic slab cabinet door can cost $60 to $70 for materials alone. As its name suggests, this material is a piece of wood with no unique features. However, a mullioned glass inset panel door, which features a designed glass panel, ranges from $100 to $200 for materials per cabinet door.
