My Business Landmark Insurance in Princess Anne has used Comer Construction for years. We did a remodel to the front of our building they cut front roof off and added the addition. We had to shut our front door for only a 5 business days during this for safety. The job was completed on their part in 2 weeks. I have the time stamp pictures to prove it. They understand how to run a Crew and get the job done in a timely manor. If you have a business that you need work done in a timely manor, this is essential to get the job done and the door reopened if you have to close it. I recently had them re do our board room table with cherry laminate. They picked up the table at 9am returned it completed by 4:30pm. Personally we have used them for years to. My Parents house on a remodeled room, they elevated a ground level room two foot higher after super storm sandy. My Sister just had a Bathroom redone in her 100 year old house not easy but they did it. They have done all of the flooring tile and hardwood in my house, as well as redoing the kitchen they even installed my appliances for me when they installed my counters tops. I also refer them to my business client because I know they will take care of my clients. Again they know how to run a crew. It is a very well managed business team.

It was a complicated job as I was living in the house while work was being done. We had to do it in different phases so I knew there would be some down time between phases while I got the next area cleared out. My concern was that once a phase started it would be completed and Larry delivered. One other nice thing is that Larry and his crew are actually the ones performing the work. If subcontractors are needed Larry has very good ones that he works with. I had my own contracting business and am a little fussy about the quality of work done but Larry is just as fussy. There were a couple of times when things didn't finish out to his liking so he redid the work. He also will suggest ways to save money but not compromise quality. He does not push for the most expensive materials or fixtures unless that is what you want. I would use him again and highly recommend him.

We had a lot of parts to juggle with our project, but Larry really helped make our vision a reality. He provided a lot of great suggestions for things that we needed help on (railing, steps, fireplace, ceiling lights, cabinets), and steered us away from products that he has had trouble with in the past. He framed a gas fireplace (others installed), tiled and created hearth and mantle for the fireplace, custom-made beautiful cabinets, constructed a new loft railing, created new wood steps that had a turn to them, and laid new vinyl plank flooring. His craftsmanship is really nice, with great attention to detail; he added some features to the cabinets that really made them very classy. We love our new cozy rooms! He was not the cheapest contractor that we got a quote from, but I feel that he was worth it and would highly recommend him.

Larry was easy to communicate and was thoughtful in his suggestions. We have a very old house, so we needed some thinking outside the box- such as adding water turnoffs in the bathroom. The bathroom was completely gutted. He replaced the wallboard, moved the toilet, installed new light fixtures, tiled the floor and behind tub, installed a new tub, toilet, vanity. He kept the work area neat with coverings to prevent getting dust everywhere. He took pictures as the worked progressed. His price was competitive and we have asked for an estimate for another project.

Larry Comer completed the kitchen and flooring renovation of our one-bedroom condo in Ocean City, MD. We met with Larry in January '18 and discussed our ideas and plan. The plan was to completely renovate the kitchen (new cabinets, countertop, and glass tile backsplash), install tile flooring throughout the condo, and replace the "popcorn" ceiling with new sheetrock. Larry helped us with all aspects of the planning, including measurements and how to maximize our space. He works with Kitchen Concepts in Salisbury, where we selected cabinets and a countertop. Larry also helped us with our flooring selection. During the renovation, Larry was always responsive and provided updates, including photos of the renovation in progress. The finished product was stunning and we are very happy with his work.

Initially communication was spotty until timelines were fully set. Once work began everything was great from his end. My condo developed a roof leak and the association had to repair it 3 times, This completely ruined his timelines and he was fantastic about postponing/putting off work in affected areas. Floor and paint look great. Attention to detail was excellent down to 1 1/2 inch long mitered shoe molding pieces in closet areas. We are very satisfied and will be using him again in a bathroom remodel this Sept.

Before we even decided to hire Comer Construction, Larry came out to our condo in Rehoboth Beach (an hour's drive from his location in Maryland) to estimate the cost. Larry spent an hour in our home discussing our ideas and offering suggestions for improving our plans. He provided a thorough estimate with a clear timeline for performing our work, recommended Kitchen Concepts for our cabinetry & granite countertops, and installed COREtec vinyl plank flooring & a glass tile backsplash that we purchased from another vendor. The work was performed as scheduled over a week and the construction area was cleaned up at the end of each day. Larry was able to compensate for some significant flaws in the structure (uneven floors and ceiling height) to create a professional finished look. When Kitchen Concepts delivered the wrong shelving for our pantry closet, Larry was able to get the correct shelving and installed it within a week even though it meant another 2 hour round trip for what amounted to a 15 minute installation. Larry is a skilled craftsman who approaches the job with honesty and integrity. He was able to do all of the work (cabinetry, flooring, tiling, appliance installation, minor electric wiring & plumbing) without the need of sub-contractors which saved us time and money. We will definitely use Comer Construction for our next project.

Went fine...a glitch with the grout not being the correct color and had to have a special wash to get it to the correct color. Glass men installed the door backwards.

I called Mr. Comer and asked him to contact the inspector for specific instructions regarding exactly what needed to be done. Mr. Comer spoke with the inspector and then promptly followed his instructions. It was a smooth and simple process.

I contacted Larry and he came out for an estimate at the end of the year 2015. We agreed on a start time in February of 2016 - at that time the house was completely empty - no furniture. At the time I lived about 2 hrs away in PA and all communication after construction began was through e-mail (mostly) and phone calls (sometimes). I had very specific instructions on different aspects of the job and all were implemented perfectly, including a pretty tricky shower base without a ledge. Along the project there were minor adjustments required because some of the plumbing of the house inside the walls did not run as expected but it was all worked out and did not impact schedule or cost of the overall project. Parts of the kitchen cabinets needed special attention due to the layout of the walls and basically it looks like custom cabinetry now that it is finished. I had communicated to Larry an absolute date by which the job needed to be done and it was done 2 weeks ahead of that date and within the original budget estimate. I am beyond happy with the quality of the job overall and the interactions with Larry as the project progressed - he kept me updated via e-mail and attached pictures as I was not local to the job site. Friends who have visited me are all very impressed. I would hire Comer Construction again in a heartbeat.

This being my first major remodel, I was nervous and facing the sticker-shock that inevitability accompanies such an endeavor. I found Comer Construction on Angie's List and took a leap of faith. I am pleased to say that the company exceeded my expectations, living up to its excellent reputation and providing a beautiful end result. Mr. Comer and his team were professional and a pleasure to work with, respectful, responsivesponsive to questions, and obviously took a great deal of pride in their work. Larry and his very handsome assistant took off the 4 exterior doors and removed the wood door jams. They replaced them with all steel jams and doors. They installed a new storm door on my front entry way. They had to do some extra brick and cement adjusting due to the new outside doors were somehow different on the bottom than my old doors were. I asked Larry if he could figure out how to adjust the problem. He told me that he could and that he has built a lot of houses and can do it all. He adjusted the bricks and cemented them.
After the job they took all the old stuff with them.
My new doors are wonderful :D

Exceptional, we couldn't ask for a better partner in helping us remodel our kitchen and bath. Offered ideas we didn't even think of, and suggested alternatives and less costly options.
