"What an amazing transformation of my flooring. Mike put his heart and soul into this job. It required a lot of sanding and then coating with polyurethane. During the process, Mike kept me in the loop as to what he was doing. In fact, he put down three different stains for me to decide which one I thought would look the best. I went with the natural look. I would highly recommend Best Choice flooring for all of your flooring needs. The finished product was amazing, from the color, coating, to the trim that he put down. Mike started the job and worked on the job until it was completed."

"We have a lot of carpet that need to be cleaned and stretched and I cannot sing enough praise for All American. They were thorough, didn't cut any corners, and got the job quickly for how much work/furniture needed to be shuffled around. Highly recommend them and I would use them again without a second thought."

"This is the first time I will use this company and their service were beyond par. They took their time to clean every single spot in my house. Their fee was reasonable and anyone can work with them. "I was pretty happy at first but when I started seeing things he didn t do. He didn t move my floor lamp and vacuum in that space . It s. Not heavy and obviously can see it needs to be done. I do no think he did anything to the front bedroom.. my point is I want a housekeeper that will clean under things that are not heavy ."

"My washer overflowed into the bathroom which led to the hallway and 1 bedroom. What a mess!! This was considered an emergency because we did not want mold and mildew to form. I told Geroge I would be home by 5:00 and he was there by 5:15. He spent 4 hours extracting the water, cleaning, and adding an anti-mildew chemical to my carpets. He is very courteous and dedicated to the customer, I will absolutely have him back to clean my carpets and linoleum."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing FAQs, answered by experts

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Like any other type of flooring, you will need to keep up with regular maintenance on your epoxy floors to keep them in the best shape possible; however, it is not like hardwood floors inside a house, which require special care and more consistent maintenance.

Just make sure you use the right cleaning tools and solutions. Avoid using harsh tools like scrub brushes or hard-bristled brooms. You should also skip cleaners that are highly acidic, including white vinegar.

Dust mops are the best option for tackling dirt and dust on marble floors. Vacuums aren’t a good idea as the brushes and beater rolls can scratch and damage your marble floors. If you must use a vacuum, make sure your vacuum has a setting for hard floors, and take care not to apply too much pressure when rolling the vacuum across your marble floor.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.
