He called Chadds Ford Chimney Sweep on a Friday, discussed his findings with them, received a likely estimate for that work over the phone, and was able to get an appt for Monday morning. Shortly before the scheduled appt, we received a call from them, apologizing for running late, offering the choice of a new arrival time or a reschedule. We were fine with them arriving later in the day. When they arrived, they went right to work, inspecting the chimney inside and out. They swept it, and explained we had a larger issue. Seems our chimney isn't lined. They gave us a price point for getting that work done (ranging from $2,500 for lining to $4,000 if a rebuild was necessary). I loved how they didn't try to press or bully us into having that work done immediately! They wrote everything down on the statement so we can follow up when we are ready. We would defnitely recommend them, and will be using them for all additional work, including vent cleanings."
