"Steve Christmas and his assistant arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected.  They were friendly and professional.  They were able to diagnose and fix a wiring problem with an outdoor lantern that had not worked since we moved into the house.  They also installed a new light fixture indoors and replaced the switch that controls the fixture.

"Bob Reicher came to my house,  took measurements and then went with me
to Loew's to choose the right door on a Saturday afternoon and he then
picked up the door  on Monday, November 11th, a holiday, and he and his
employee installed the sliding glass door all in one day.  He is exceptionally
accurate and neat in his work.
The building is 30 years old and I know it took my neighbor 2 days to install their door due to an improper fitting.; however Bob
had no problems fitting my door.  It fit perfectly the first time and they completed the job in less than 6 hours, because he took accurate measurements beforehand. He knew exactly what he was doing.
He had one worker with him and both were precise, polite, and professional.
Several years ago Mr. Reicher also put on my back deck.  And then too he took  accurate measurements and was the only contractor to submit a precise drawing to the Condo Assoicatiion and the Building Inspector.
I would highly recommend Bob Reicher for any construction project he chooses.

"Jim called and arranged a time to arrive and do the job. He arrived at the exact time. Explained what had to be performed and accomplished the task within the estimated time he gave. Afterwards he explained the details of operation of the sensor lights. He acted in a very professional manner and did not waste time in getting the job done. He is very highly recommended and we told him we would use him again when needed. T. A. Koch"

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s usually safe to use old lamps, but you should check the components first for signs of damage, including fraying wires, damaged wire insulation, and loose wire connections.

If you're unsure of a lamp’s age or have an antique lamp, it’s a good idea to have a lamp repair technician rewire it. This investment will ensure the electrical components are safe to use, reducing the risk of an electrical emergency.

The distance from the dining table to the bottom of the chandelier's droptop is essential when hanging your light fixture. For example, the fixture should hang 30 to 36 inches above the table for an 8-foot ceiling. If your ceiling is higher than the standard eight feet, add three inches of chandelier height for every foot of ceiling height.

DIY is possible for basic setups. Professional installation ensures proper wiring and energy efficiency.

Halogen and LED light bulbs are the most common bulbs for recessed lighting, but you don’t need any special type. LEDs are growing in popularity because they’re the most energy-efficient, which can help you save money in the long run and minimize how often you need to change your light bulbs.

The average cost to install a light fixture is $600, with a typical range of $200 to $1,100. The total cost depends on several factors, including the type and number of fixtures, wiring requirements, and your location. Additional costs may apply for removing old fixtures or for any necessary electrical or drywall work. Replacing an existing light fixture is generally less expensive than installing a new one because the wiring is already in place.
