"I recently had my shower tile replaced and couldn’t be happier with the results. The craftsmanship was outstanding — every tile was laid with precision and the finished product looks completely clean and polished. You can tell real care went into the work. Beyond the quality of the install itself, the team was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were professional from start to finish and showed up when they said they would. Communication was easy and straightforward — no hassle, no surprises. If you’re looking for a tile installer you can trust to do the job right and treat your home with respect, look no further. Highly recommend!"

"Nelson did an outstanding job restoring the Marmiline pieces in our bathroom. He was very meticulous and took his time making sure that he removed the stains and scratches in them. He is extremely knowledgeable in tile restoration. Periodically, he would have my husband and I look at his work to see if we were happy with how it was turning out. I highly recommended M&N Stone Restoration and Repair LLC!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired K and X construction for my master bathroom. They did such a nice job I contracted with them to do my guest bathroom. Kristian and his crew were knowledgeable, clear in his communication, fair with his pricing, timely, and most of all a man of honesty and integrity. I see a bright future for this young man. Keep up the great work Christian. If you have a job, K and X will get the job done with excellence."

Customers say: Quick response

"The carpenter that did the job (Adam) was amazing. He had to expand the space for one window, narrow the space for another, and repair much cedar siding that had rotted away due to water damage. He also reshaped my patio door so it would close and lock more easily. He is a very talented carpenter and I have no qualms about highly recommending him."

"Angel and his team did excellent work. The craftsmanship was top notch and communication was quick and clear. They worked with us to on our requirements and made the remodeling process painless. They installed a tile floor in our bathroom and kitchen backsplash with glass tile. They also painted our 50yr old oak kitchen cabinets and painted a few rooms, hallways, etc. They helped with style recommendations and paid attention to all of the details (picking out hardware for the cabinets, recommending tile layout, finding a gallon of paint that the store mixed incorrectly and figuring out we had picked an incorrect grout color). Everything came out better than we hoped. Thank you!"

"I was very impressed with David's responsiveness and every member of his crew was a pleasure. They completely removed the kitchen floor (and several layers of subfloor) in my 100+ year-old home, made repairs to floor joists and installed new flooring that looks beautiful. It was an evolving project and I appreciated the team's flexibility and speed with which they completed the project."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Like glass tiles, you will not need to seal most porcelain tiles, particularly if the porcelain is already glazed. It depends on quality. Porcelain is very water resistant, but it is not 100% waterproof. To avoid staining, some homeowners use a penetrating sealer. It is also a good idea to seal your grout. Unless you use epoxy grout, grout is very porous and can harbor bacteria, mold, and mildew.

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.

Yes, your shower pan goes underneath your tiling and helps prevent excess water from seeping into the floor. Without the shower pan under your tile, water will seep through the grout and into the flooring. This will eventually lead to mold growth and serious water damage that could cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.
