Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
Matt was absolutely great. He was very thorough in his work and we are so glad to have our cracking tile floor replaced properly. His work was great and his communication with us throughout the project was good as well. We will be happy to have him back for any tile job we have in the future.

Matt was friendly, respectful , knowledgeable and very fair with his pricing. the job was expected to take 3 hours but instead took more than 6 hours. i felt it wasnt fair that i only pay him the original amount so i offered more... to my surprise he refused. so i gave it as a tip. Matt is just a good human being and thats the biggest compliment i can give a anyone. the job he did was nothing short of fabulous. the shower floor looks the way it did when it was first laid... i am beyond pleased with the outcome. i would hire him again for sure. thank you Matt!

Mat did a great job laying tile in my basement, which was not flat to begin with. Very precise in ensuring that the floor at the end was flat. Pricing was very fair.

Mat and Hiram were both amazing. They re-tiled a tub/shower and did a fantastic job. They were meticulous and patient and I love the end result. They cleaned up each day which was very appreciated too. I plan to use them again and would recommend them.

My thanks to all of the people who already wrote reviews of Marble Effects. Their good reviews made me consider, and then hire Marble Effects. It was a good choice. I donâ t write quick and dirty reviews. I try to anticipate what I as a reader would really like/need to know and I try to answer those questions/issues. We needed three tiling issues: A stall shower in a small bathroom had to be totally removed/demolished and a new one installed. There was a leak in the tile on the wall with the plumbing fixtures of a tub/shower in a hall bathroom that needed to be dealt with. The master bathroom stall shower needed to be regrouted, and the seams recaulked. When we began, we got proposals from a couple of tile installers, one of whom had been recommended by our long time plumber, who we trust implicitly. His proposal was professional, but he wanted to make a mountain out of a molehill. The work he wanted to do was more than any other proposer. And he absolutely refused to give us a proposal that included the cost of the tile, and refused to even tell us the square footage of the tile needed until and unless he was awarded the contract. There was no way to get to a bottom line cost without understanding the cost of the tile. Despite being recommended by our plumber, we did not use him. Thatâ s when I went to Home Advisor. Home Advisor provided the names of several tile installers that had good reviews. Two of the three proposals were pretty unprofessional; to me they seemed as if they could have been prepared on a cocktail napkin. And they only saw one way to do the job. No inventiveness at all. We didnâ t use them. The third proposal was from Marble Effects. Mat came. He was inventive, seeking to minimize the cost. Nice. He fully explained the options we had, and explained the plusses and minuses of each. He clearly understood what we wanted, and what we needed. His proposal was truly professional. It specified his insurance coverage and his license number. It was clear. It was complete. We talked about it and he made a few adjustments. We chose Marble Effects. And weâ re glad we did. The work was completed today. Everything was nicely, carefully, and professionally done. It took a bit longer to complete than had originally proposed, but thatâ s OK because there was no rushing, nothing slapdash about everything Mat â and his father Hiram â did. Everything they did, they did carefully. They were always neat. They always took care to protect our property. They did it right. They explained what they were doing. They explained why they were doing it. They explained why, from time to time, the work had to pause to permit something to set and/or cure. Perfection -- itâ s clear from their attitudes and actions â is of primary importance to them. Nice. Multiple times during the course of the project Mat asked us if everything was OK; if there were any problems we had with anything Mat wanted to take care of it. (When was the last time any contractor did that? Never, in my lifetime.) Nice. And the price quoted in the beginning was the price I paid at the end. No extras. No additions. Nice.

Having had both commercial and residential contractors do tile work for us over the years, I have to say that Mat and his dad were at the very top of the list in terms of quality of work, fairness of price and on-time completion. No dimension was plumb and nothing was square. They overcame it all with no complaints

Hired Marble Effects to work on my backyard slate patio. Large area. They removed the old concrete grout, re-fixed all loose tiles, and regrouted the entire deck as well as applying sealant. Couldnt be happier with their professinalism , pride in their work and what appears to be a job extremely well done. Would highly recommend.

I hired Marble Effects to replace some old flooring in a patio and porch. It wasn't a large job in an upscale mansion like many of their clients but I felt they (Mat) gave my small area the same amount of attention and care that they would to a more lucrative job. And their pricing was reasonable. Mat was very personable and I could tell that he knew what he was doing and didn't cut corners in any way. The job turned out perfect (I'm detail-oriented) and they cleaned up well. I will definitely hire them again for future jobs. I've hired workers for various projects before and feel that Marble Effects deserve more than five stars.

Marble Effects Tile was hired for a shower tiling project. Both Hiram and Matt listened to what I wanted for a finished product and by providing this open communication, they were able to do this work without any interruptions or further input from me. They did excellent tile work, at a very competitive price. Everything about this experience was fantastic. I would rate them higher than 5 out of 5 if possible. I will also use them again in the future for any type of tile work.

Marble Effects Tile did a wonderful job installing porcelain tile over a lower level cement floor for us. Led by Hiram Bueno, along with his son, cousin and nephew, this family company did exactly what I envisioned. A beautiful plank floor that other installers said would be too challenging, was the result. Hiram is friendly, helpful, prompt, courteous and the work done was high quality. We could not be more pleased. If there was a rating above 5, I would gladly give it. If you have an indoor or outdoor tile installation project, I strongly recommend Marble Effects Tile.

Initially I hired a cut-rate contractor who ruined the job. Hiram swooped in like Superman and saved the day. The completed tile now looks awesome. He was prompt, courteous, trustworthy and provided a great service for a very reasonable price. I've hired other tile installers over the years and they always made a huge mess with dust, debris, and tile saw residue, but not Hiram. Even the demolition process was spotless! Hiram went the extra mile to make sure our job came out perfectly and that's a rare thing these days. I highly recommend his service.
