Bruno, the owner and sometimes crew member, gave a knowledgable assessment of what needed to be done in a walk-around inspection. He wrote out what he would do in a clear contract/proposal and stuck to the contract even though a lot of surprises showed up during the preparation process. The job was complicated by bad weather and rain but it never hindered the process or progress of the job. We also had not made a decision about the final color until the painting began. We never felt pressured to make a decision even when we had changed our minds from our first proposal - multiple colors rather than one. The crew was hard-working, friendly, professional, efficient. They didn't make us feel in the way or uncomfortable doing our activities while they were hard at work. Tireless workers. The price was fair and competitive. When asked, we have told our friends the price and they always said that they thought it would have been more. Excellent materials were used for the project. We have had the house painted before and the Empire Company performed many steps, especially in prep work, that had never been done to or considered for our house before. HIGH recommendation. "Very well. Paulo arrived early Monday on schedule. He did extensive prep and carefully painted 2 rooms-one a complicated entry hall with flight of stairs. Previously stained doors and banisters were painted, ceilings, too. In addition he replaced cracked windows and glazed those and additional ones, 20 in all. He replaced exterior fascia boards and flashing. He repaired squirrel damaged supports and painted those exterior repairs as well as some previous work by another carpenter. He is honest, reliable, conscientious and has a great disposition. He made valuable suggestions which affected my design decisions. He was willing to accommodate additional requests. For example he wired in a new wall fixture. As I told him, the only unhappy residents were the squirrels."

"We had our home exterior painted with solid color stain. The job was done in a timely manner. However, sometime soon after the job was completed, bubbles appeared on the newly stained siding. This was no surprise since the issue had happened before. It was explained to me that the siding used had a "mill glaze" on it due to improper sawing at the mill. This prevents any finish from adhering properly. Even though it wasn't totally their problem, Igli had his crew come out twice to resand and coat all of the problem areas. Now things look very good. Igli is a man of his word and his crew did a great job under difficult circumstances. I highly recommend Sid Painting."
