"Great, I do my homework when hiring someone to service my home. Jose was professional, through, Quick, on time, and reasonably priced. I’ve hired many contractors and very familiar with the work that needs to be done and he’s a rare individual. The kind of worker you want back with out hesitation. I’d hire him back in a heart beat. During the time he was at my home he received a call from someone who needed to be serviced right away, it was late in the day. Jose finished up I said great job Jose I guess you can’t wait to get home, he said no I have to go to Redhook they need me there before it rains again. This guy is one of a kind! By the way it did rain that night!"

"Dirk was the first contractor to call us back, to look at the job, and to quote on it. He was also the only contractor who offered to cover everything we have stored up in our entire attic with huge sheets of plastic before the job and then clean it up after. From the inside, other than the fresh plywood, you couldn't tell there had been so much demo work. Dirk is that meticulous and crazy about quality. Everything has to be “just so.” You pay a little more for that, but the peace of mind is worth it. For example, he removed our cupola and weathervane, brought it home, rebuilt and painted it, and reinstalled it. Dirk has a degree in engineering, but decided early in life he needed to apply that knowledge by working with his hands and not in an office. He’s a talkative guy, and came across to us as genuine and caring. We would use him again."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

Seal joints, clean debris regularly, and address cracks promptly to maintain appearance and stability.

Sandblasting removes old paint, rust, and grime efficiently, providing a clean surface for refinishing.
