"The owner, Ed came to the apartment himself and surveyed the job. He was very personable, professional and attentive. I was impressed that he came himself for such a small job.
The 2 workmen arrived on time and helped me problem solve how to hang additional light fixtures for a large light installation. They offered to get part from the hardware store if needed.
Super nice guys.
Completed the job and cleaned up after themselves. I would and will use this company again and have recommended them to the board of my coop as a service provider.
It cost more than expected but then these deals always do.

"I called Roger and he came that evening to look at the project to level my kitchen floor and install new lighting and outlets as part of my remodel. That evening he sent me the estimate via email saying he could come in the next day to start the project. He was nice and did a very professional job. I will definitely contact Roger for any additional work I need done in my apartment."

"I had a boiler installed with Go green express and I couldn't be happier with the results. The crew came in the morning and was out by the afternoon. They were very professional and left the work area spotless. The boiler they installed not only works great but looks great too. Everyone I showed it to was highly impressed. I received calls from GO GREEN after work was done to make sure i was completely satisfied , I can't ask for more then that. Good job GO GREEN EXPRESS …. Thank's David Melendez."

"Everything went well. The crew was very professional & polite. Asked where I would like the TV & shelves mounted, provided some recommendations as well. They painted the walls in the stairs. The paint job was just okay."

Install Central Vacuum questions, answered by experts

Technically, yes, you could install a central vacuum system on your own, but it is a very difficult DIY. There is a significant amount of planning, cutting into walls, and electrical wiring work that goes into it, which should only be performed by a professional. Because of the difficulty and expense associated with a central vacuum system, it’s worth it to hire a professional company familiar with the installation's complexities.

No. Only the hose or the attachments are portable in a central vacuum system. A portable vacuum is a standalone model like a stick, canister, or upright. A central vacuum system is defined by a central power unit, which is installed in one place like an AC unit, and the connected network of piping to funnel the suction.

Experienced professionals don’t usually need to take down drywall to install the central vacuum. They are experienced in working in the tight spaces between walls and in crawl spaces to minimize any damage. The only drywall changes should be the holes cut for the new outlets. However, home design, existing plumbing, and other factors may require some modification. An estimate from a professional contractor should include information if any changes need to be made.

Whether talking about a whole-house central vacuum or a portable vacuum cleaner, the expected cost of major repair work should always be balanced against its replacement cost. However, excluding high-cost motor replacements or major electrical trouble, repairs on a central vacuum system are typically far less than the cost of purchasing and installing a new one.

The disadvantages associated with central vacuums start with cost. They are expensive to install, especially in existing homes, as retrofitting requires opening walls. The system's bulky hoses can also be inconvenient to maneuver and store compared to portable vacuums. Additionally, repairs may need professional service, adding to maintenance costs. Lastly, while powerful, they may be overkill for smaller homes or apartments, making the investment less practical for some households.
