"Very professional from start to finish. They were very thorough with initial inspection and gave me estimate for sewer backwater valve install bundled with house trap replacement and jet cleaning. Explained everything to my assurance and work went smoothly. After uncovering the existing pipework of course there were surprises. However new plan was quickly hatched and explained to me. Everything else went well and the team was on top of it."

"My leaking dishwasher dumped a lot of water in my basement. Larry responded to my call for assistance faster than I could imagine! He did need to order a part, but turned off the water source, stopping the leakage. He promptly installed the part and now I am very happy to have a functional dishwasher!"

"We hired Mr. Rooter to connect our home to town sewer system. He responded quickly after I submitted a request through Home Advisor. He was on time, and completed the job in an efficient amount of time. After completing the installation, the yard was leveled, reseeded and bushes replanted. The price quoted was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done and he stayed within the quote. I highly recommend him."

"Our well died. We used a local (regional) search site and got three immediate calls. Two were bogus and Old Faithful Pump was the third. Polite and played no games on the phone. He understood our needs came back in a day and completed the sump pump change at the well. Found extra problems and notified us and came back for a second pressure related issue that was not part of the original job and handled it quickly at no charge."

"The company texted me with a picture of the repairman, gave me a window of 2 hours, he arrived put on disposable boots and a mask and said the repair would be $650. Gave us his opinion on what brand to buy. Overall, an excellent service"

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
