"A soft wall due to improperly installed gutter by some other entity or homeowner caused water to constantly leak into the wall from the exterior roofline. This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. "Due to a leak in the baseboard heater in my 250-year-old house, there was a moldy/mildewed section of my ceiling and wall. Haven removed the damaged ceiling, cleaned up the mold/mildew with a specialized chemical, replaced the ceiling, and painted the ceiling and wall. The room looks wonderful now and there is no residual smell. He also put sheetrock on a section of my stairwell well where I had to remove the wall surface to bring a washing machine to the second floor. This section is temporary, so he screwed it into the wall. Haven did a great job with everything and cleaned up the site perfectly when he was done. I found him to be efficient and hardworking, with a pleasant, positive attitude and excellent communication skills. I plan to hire Haven again in the future for the many projects we have in this old house."
