"Job has been completed. They arrived as scheduled, performed the work requested and cleaned up excess materials and remaining debris from the job site. As a result of the great job done on the original project, we requested that Ron's Masonry undertake a second project. They again arrived on time and completed the second project in the timeframe specified and within budget."

"Professionally replaced wood fascia and covered with white siding in Livingston NJ. Excellent workmanship. Carefully removed and reattached gutter and Verizon cable. Professional and courteous owner and team. Pleasant customer service; call back immediately; owner and workers were pleasant; fair and quick estimate; showed up on time; beautiful workmanship; cleaned up. Extremely honest Owner corrected me when I almost overpaid him. Highly recommend team and I will definitely use again, because I can trust them and count on them. It was a difficult job due to power lines, and wood bees flying in their face. Bob S. Livingston N.J."

"Hiring Ilir was one of the best decisions that I made in my life. I interviewed more than 10 pros, felt very comfortable with Ilir from the very beginning. The quality of work was great. He was very helpful, I ended up having him do more works beyond the Masonry."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

If it is applied properly, stucco is a durable material that can last between 50 and 80 years, especially with regular repair and maintenance. Things like painting the stucco every 10 years or so will help it last longer. The location of your home plays a big part in the life span of your stucco, too.

You can use small bits that are up to 3/8 inch in diameter, or larger bits that are 1/2 inch or more in diameter. Make sure the bits you use are coated with carbide or diamond; this information is usually visible on the package. You can also use hole saw bits to drill into stucco.

Tools include trowels, floats, and patching compounds. Professionals use these for precise and durable repairs.

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.
