"On time, returns calls, cleans up, professional. Had small problem after they left and Ed returned promptly and took care of it. Better than the local pool company that subcontracted the last pool liner and the original installation company. . Recommend!"

"We hired Set in Stone to create a new patio, pool deck (including new pool coping), front patio, front door step, stone outdoor kitchen, stone sitting wall, and stone firepit. We couldn't be happier with the results! numerous people have commented that our backyard looks like a 5 star resort. Ray and his team were beyond excellent. Ray was on site regularly and went above and beyond in every way. He even adjusted certain things that took extra time and work (details that we would have never noticed or considered) because it was the right way to do it. Things like proper drainage, slopes, sightlines. With such a big job, we are thankful we chose Ray and his team to do it right. The Team of Masons are the best in the business as well. with a pile of rocks, a hammer, stake and string they created a beautiful oasis and outdoor living area we would never have been able to dream of - no stone veneer, or engineered products, real deal STONES. During one of our first consultations with Ray we asked "where do you buy the stone?" thinking there would be a catalog or something. He said "from the ground.....when we dig them up, we use them somewhere" the result is a beautiful and natural end product. Ray also worked with us throughout the project to make sure we were happy and to make sure we understood what was going on, and why. we learned a lot, and quickly realized how lucky we were to be working with a great team of professionals who are proud of what they build. we've since referred Set in Stone to friends, family and neighbors and will surely use them again."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Property lines, building locations, and potential encroachments are mapped.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.
